![]() Chromillia Info: While this colourful bit of flora appears to simply be a flower, it is in fact a deeply rooted tree! It gives shade indiscriminately to all who are seated beneath its ample petals, and will even fan itself out to accommodate larger bloblings. Those who spend any amount of time around these flowertrees will notice that their petals shine more brightly when they have company. That's right; these flowertrees love bloblings and crave their presence, and lose their luster when they haven't had anybody tend to them in a few weeks. In fact, if left alone for too long, they turn almost completely pale and the smile in the middle of their flower becomes a frown. And yes, these things do have feelings. They remember those who have wronged them and those who have been unkind to them in the past... not that they would ever be mean to anybody. They just remember. If a blobling they know to be unfriendly is within eyeshot, they'll lean away from them and their colours will dull. These flowertrees can be heard giving gentle, echoing coos in the night and will often chatter at the bloblings they enjoy, or hum with them when they hum a song. They continue to hum the songs of the friends they've made long after they've left when they think they're alone. Made during: The Smiley Sands Population Event. Found in: The Smiley Sands. | ![]() Bleeding Heart Trees Info: This is a large tree with an incredibly smooth, gradiented trunk. Aside from the gnarled roots, it feels like a satiny, papery skin is all over it. Its roots continue no matter what's in their way: rocks, chromillia roots, sand, water, it doesn't matter to them. They try to find somewhere within the material that sits in their path to worm into, much like a troublesome weed. This tree seems to have hearts growing from its branches! These 'hearts' are black fruits that make a sloshing noise when you shake them. They have a smooth, hard exterior and are relatively easily cracked open to reveal their insides, which are completely liquid! Yup, as soon as you puncture these fruits, liquid matching the colour of your blood oozes out to greet you. Hi! This liquid is thin and mostly opaque, and oddly a little warm, but it tastes like sweet, sweet candied deliciousness. It doesn't have much of a flavour besides sweetness, but it does taste a little like the red outside of a candied apple. Not that you would know that. When consumed, the juice from the fruits on these trees will give you what feels like boundless energy for hours on end. You'll run faster and jump higher and think more clearly, so these are often used just before a long bout of travel or a tiring social event. ... but beware, because some time later, you'll crash and fall into a deep, unavoidable slumber. Made during: The Quest Event in Eris' Quest "Spread my Seed". Found in: The Smiley Sands and The Sourglow Swamp, with the biggest collection of them at the borders of the two areas. |
![]() Glow Grapes Info: This is a vine-growing fruit that dominates the swamp, giving it a musty, fruity, sour scent. It stays mostly in the water, but bits of it can be seen on land as well. Each grape that sits on the vine has a glow to it that provides light, so bloblings can see under the murky waters of the swamp no problem! Upon being picked, each grape will supercharge and give more glow than you could believe! During this time, they taste a bit fizzy and sour, but they're still very much edible. They calm down within an hour or two and then lose their glow completely, never to provide light again. This is when most bloblings eat them. They taste a little sweeter during this time, too, because their sourness fades. The most useful part about this plant is that its vine is incredibly resilient - except for at the seams where the grapes can be picked, and the occasional seam every few feet that can be popped apart with a little force. Some even claim that they're completely indestructible! While most of these are green, a rare few also come in purple and near-black indigo. Made during: The Flora Event "Populating the Swamp". Found in: The Sourglow Swamp. | ![]() Galanthillas Info: These friendly little plants grow at the base of Bleeding Heart Trees. They're almost entirely white, save for some faint green markings, and they smell like cold and vanilla and milk. If eaten, the petals of the flowers taste like snowy milk, and the clovers taste like vanilla. All three together combine into something that tastes a whole lot like vanilla ice cream! The Bleeding Heart Trees they're planted under seem to stop multiplying at such an aggressive rate, and the second stage of the Bleeding Heart Fruit juice is completely negated, leaving only the energy-giving portion. Even when the flower is completely removed, the clovers continue to grow within a certain radius - it seems that once one of these has been been planted, it's there to stay forever, quite like a stubborn weed. At least they smell and taste nice. Made during: The Quest Event in Themis' Quest "Stop Tripping". Found in: Around Bleeding Heart Trees everywhere except in the Tar Pits. |
![]() Lambfruits Info: This plant is one of the very rarest on Terrea. Only a few of them exist, and if too many are planted, some of the others will die - this is a finite, controlled resource. Bloblings will often travel for hours and hours, even days or weeks, to find a single one of these. But once you've found one, you're in for a treat! You see, the silvery leaves of this plant draw in heat and reflect it into the puffy balls that sit in the center-most point, leaving the poofs toasty and warm to the touch. And if you put the ball in your mouth, the outside bit is stringy and sweet, sweet, sweet. It tastes like sweetness and heat at once, but it doesn't melt away, making it a nice-smelling, cotton-like material that tastes nice and feels snuggly and can be used for all sorts of things! Oh, and each of the puffs has cute little ram horns sticking out of it. As soon as you pick one of these, another one will immediately grow to take its place, so even though they're difficult to find, you can collect a lot from them. In the middle of the cotton-like material is the skin of a fruit, kind of like a lychee stuck inside of an oversized cotton ball. When the skin is peeled away, which you can use the little ram horns to help with (for leverage), a juicy, red pearl lies in the center. It's a bit jammy in texture, but it holds together nicely, and it tastes like a perfectly ripe strawberry that's been warmed for you. Yummy! Made during: A Personal Quest from Ichor. Found in: Rare hidden places all around Terrea. | ![]() Blob-Eating Bulb Info: This flower-like plant has a long, flexible green stalk with a giant, toothed bulb on the end. Its name is derived from the fact that it will indiscriminately attempt to consume any blobling who enters its personal space, always. Even bloblings who spend a lot of time around it, and even bloblings who sing to it. It does not care. The bulb at the end of its stem is soft and rubbery to the touch, quite like a more durable flower petal. It resists being punctured. Inside of the bulb is a sticky substance intended to keep any bloblings the bulb traps stuck inside until they decompose. Its teeth can be folded outward at will, to form a sort of toothy flower pattern. This also makes it easier for the plant to swipe at nearby threats, or pick up any errant bloblings just by puncturing them. This plant is fully capable of sucking in a strong breath or two when attempting to ensnare a blobling, though it needs to take some time to catch its breath after that. Interestingly, the leaves of this plant taste a little like beef. Not that most bloblings know what beef is... but perhaps these leaves will remind them, if they can get close enough to take them. Made during: August Blood Raid Quest Found in: Scattered all across Terrea, but mainly in the Smiley Sands. |
![]() Poffdula Trees Info: These brightly colored trees have super soft tufts of fabric-like strands shooting out from a rainbow pod-covered bark; when any of the strands are removed, they quickly grow back, though the longer they are left to grow, the more vibrant the colors become. The core is made of similar soft fabric strands except that the white inner threads are tougher, and more tightly packed together as they grow to form the base of the tree. As they grow away from the podbark, the threads are exposed to more starlight, causing the outer strands to change from white to the many bright colors of the stars. The coloured pods that cover the bark of the tree can be easily removed and easily split in half, and they grow back very quickly. Each pod has 2 different colors - one on each side - that when opened are filled with a juicy, edible dye of the same color, with a thin membrane separating the two colors. When washed out and cleaned the pod-halves can be used as a bowl because when dried they become hard yet still flexible. The pod-dyes each taste of a different flavor, as shown in the chart below: ![]() Made during: August Blood Raid Quest/Patreon Creator Tier Found in: Scattered all across Terrea, but mainly in the Smiley Sands. | ![]() Papyrills Info: Papyrills are long stalks whose cores are filled with black ink, which fill the plant-like quills at the top. Their bark is literally paper, and tugging lightly at one of the sheets removes it from the mass. Shortly after, a new one will grow in its place. It's difficult to do because the sheets grow back so quickly, but if you pull enough paper from the same place, ink will come jetting out of the core. This probably means that the paper is waterproof and doesn't buckle or warp when exposed to liquid. This also means that the closer you get to the core, the more sheets of paper are stained completely black with ink. Writing on these sheets is particularly hard, but yellow dye from poffdula fruits seems to help the letters show up more. The quills are receptive to the dye from poffdula fruits, so mixing the two liquids together creates coloured ink! Papyrills have been seen being giant, thin, tall, and short and stocky, so several sizes of paper are available. Made during: Let's make a City together! Found in: Only found in the parks inside and around the Onyxia Sanctuary. |
![]() Ferrowood Trees Info: These 'trees' have a very hot, solid core which shines/vents heat out of the top and makes the metal paper/leaves of the 'tree' soft so they can be pulled off; they are extremely pliable and can be molded and then heat-treated/fired like clay in order to be solidified. The metal from these trees is surprisingly resistant to blobling blood's acidic quality, even in its malleable form, and takes an incredibly long time to melt from it. The metal roots that grow underground are cooler and much harder to manipulate, but are also stronger than the metal of the paper/leaves. Vulkilns can often be found in molded-metal nests near the tops of these 'trees' where the heat from the core keeps them nice and toasty warm! They seem to be appearing mostly around more civilized areas, and have even started popping up in the Onyxia Forest! Made during: Maker Tier New Things! Found in: All over Terrea, largely outside populated areas like the Cities. | ![]() Cyrill Star Orbs/Flowers/Vines Info: This plant looks innocent enough, with its nectar-filled orbs that glitter like the many-starred sky of the Old World, pure white flowers and smooth blue leaves... but it's hiding a few secrets. The nectar inside tastes vaguely like honey though not too intensely sweet, with a little alcohol-like burn along with the sweetness. The nectar of this plant comes in 3 tricky varieties: - One leaves the blobling feeling floaty and fuzzy at once, filled with imagination, creativity and sometimes mild hallucinations. Their body feels heavy and sleepy; imbibing in this liquid tends to lead to bloblings producing all sorts of weird art that even they may not understand when they're themselves again. - The second leaves the blobling feeling jovial and talkative, but beware, for sometimes this nectar type can have the opposite affect and have your blobling crying about their lost loves... oh dear. It seems this type of nectar pulls strong emotions from blobs everywhere. Blobs who drink this type of nectar feel buzzed and a little woozy, finding it hard to roll straight. - The third type of nectar leaves bloblings feeling tantalizingly warm. This nectar strengthens feelings that are already present, making it easier for bloblings to talk about matters of the heart. Bloblings under the affects of this nectar feel miscellaneously warm and more open to new possibilities. The tricky part is that all three nectars look exactly the same, and the orbs do little to distinguish between them until heated or cooled. When exposed to cold, the second type of nectar becomes frosty and opaque. When exposed to heat, the third kind of nectar glows with a faint pink hue. The first one does nothing, but next to the others, it becomes obvious which one it is. Consuming too much of any of the nectars will make your blobling vomit them all back out again, but it's not possible for them to overdose. Made during: Maker Tier New Things! Found in: The Sourglow Swamps, including Onyxia City, and outside similarly populated areas. |
![]() Skitterspuds Info: This creature's dex entry can be found in both the Flora section and the Fauna section, as it's a combination of both! This long, sharp creature is a vegetable/creature hybrid! It's about the size of an Old World husky and its body is long and is tipped with a dense vegetable that tastes lightly vegetal and crunchy, like a mixture between a radish and a cucumber. It also has several nodes in it, which are filled with glowy spuds, which is likely where this creature got its name. When boiled for a long period of time, the spuds lose their glow and yield easily when mushed. They travel in packs of 5 and tend to listen to the skitterspud with the largest vegetable, proving that bigger is in fact better. Additionally, they communicate both among themselves and to others in whistles; they seem to be unable to produce any other noises. Considering that they're also rather shy creatures, it's rare to hear them whistle and usually blobs can only hear their high-pitched noises when they sit still for long enough and become part of the scenery. These creatures make more of themselves by removing their vegetable and placing it in the ground, at which point a new skitterspud will grow... however, it takes a while for their vegetable tail to return to its former size, so the skitterspuds who do this often lose their position in the pack until it returns to its former glory. They eat the white grass in the Colourwave Coast and Dampwater Darks, so they don't tend to appear in any of the other biomes unless there's something wrong, such as one of their pack mates going missing. Last but not least, these noodly bois have glowy spiked collars around their tail and neck and, when removed, these spikes become moldable for about a quarter of a Number before solidifying into a slightly glowy, whitish blue glass-and-metal-cross with surprising staying power. Made during: CC&DD Creation thread! Found in: The Colourwave Coast and Dampwater Darks. | ![]() Milkshake Tree Info: This delectable plant was made to provide a variety of delicious desserts to the bloblings of Terrea with very little prep work. These trees have an external shell of chocolate chip cookies, a cylinder of chocolate beneath and sweet, cookie-flavoured milk at their core. Bloblings can reach this milk by tapping the tree or smashing it open, and can collect it in any vessel they wish... including their own mouth. The 'leafy' portion of the tree is made of three varieties of milkshake: strawberry, chocolate and vanilla, and a giant dollop of whipped cream sits on top. The milkshake stays frosty and near-frozen when on the tree, but becomes more liquidy once scooped into a cup or other such vessel. A giant chocolate straw sticks out of each milkshake tree, just in case a giant happens along and wants a sip. Fairy cake/cupcake 'fruits' grow from the milkshake section and come in vanilla, strawberry and chocolate flavours too, though their wrappers can come in any of the colours displayed in the art. These trees grow close to highly populated areas, and their seeds are found in a collection of about ten or so per tree in a small pocket beneath their whipped cream. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Any highly populated areas. |
![]() Breakfast Tree Info: This plant was made to provide easy access to prepared, warm noms. These trees have a bark made of crispy bacon strips, and their core is a sugar cane-like tube that houses fresh-tasting orange juice. The cane can be torn apart and ground into a slightly citrusy sugar paste, or dehydrated and ground into a fibrous, sour sugar. Soft, hot buns grow atop the tree in a large clump, and are easily torn away, regrowing within moments. Eggfruits grow nestled between the buns, and function much like an Old World egg, except they heat up and cook themselves when shaken. These fruits can act as seeds as well; when planted, they grow up to be a new breakfast tree! This plant grows primarily around highly populated areas, such as cities. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Any highly populated areas. | ![]() Burgerbush Info: A bush-plant made to provide simple, delicious food to any blobling who wants it! These bushes have branch-like, crispy, always-hot french fries at the base, with a whole burger with toppings grown above them, and 'leaves' made of pizza slices. The fry-branches and pizza-leaves can be ripped off easily, and while wholly attached, the burger and toppings can be easily separated and used/consumed/disposed of however the blobling dining wishes, and the entire plant grows back within moments of being harvested. The burger section contains lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and pickles, as well as ketchup, mayo, relish and mustard. They're all in clean layers that can be easily removed, and blobs will find that the flavours don't bleed, meaning that the pickles can be removed and the pickle flavour won't linger in the sauces. Neat! These grow close to densely populated areas and the seeds from the tomatoes can be planted and will produce more burgerbushes. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Any highly populated areas. |
![]() Cuteacup Info: These dainty, cup-like flowers sprout like wildflowers wherever large gatherings of bloblings can be found. Bloblings should be wary of trying to pick them, however, because the stalk of the flower is covered in thorns! It's possible to carefully pick the cup part of the flower so long as the blobling treats the plant gently. Rough treatment may cause the cup part of the flower to close up, and the thorns to protrude a bit further to protect itself. Happily - though not all blobs will discover this - cuteacups respond extremely well to praise and adoration and will suck in their thorns completely for blobs who compliment them. Once the cup is picked, hot water can be placed in it to create a bitter drink with floral notes. The three different colors of the flower each present a different variety of bitter drink. The green flower has a variety of bitter drink that has a slightly bittersweet aftertaste and is somewhat vegetal in nature. The white flower has a variety of bitter drink that is much more delicate in taste and goes down very smooth. The pink flower's bitter drink often has a bit of a zing and can at times seem like a very slight mix of flavors. Although the white and green flowers are very common, the pink flower is much less so. Rumour has it, it can only be found during Bleeding Season. They grow mostly near densely populated areas, such as Onyxia Sanctuary and Vermin's Cove. The seed of this plant is located just beneath the cup. It looks like a very tiny black tea kettle. Generally, its flavour is bitter, but the three different varieties taste different from one another. The drink they make is based off of green tea, white tea, and herbal tea. The flower part tastes relatively the same as the drink would - but the leaf handle and the stalk of the flower (should one risk getting a mouthful of thorns) are SO BITTER, they're practically inedible. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Near densely populated areas, such as Onyxia Sanctuary and Vermin's Cove. | ![]() Phosphelp Info: This kelp-like plant may seem plain, with a tall stem and rather unassuming leaves, but bloblings who consume said leaves will start to glow! Blobs find that the glow dies down over time, similar to an Old World glow stick, and clears up completely roughly one Number after they ate the plant in the first place. In the light, these plants appear magenta, but when placed in the dark, they shift to being a vibrant, glowy blue. They glow so much that one could light up the entirety of a small room, if kept in a watery enclosure! However, if they're picked and removed from the water, they lose their glow and can be consumed without making the blob eating them light up. The leaves of this plant taste fishy and savoury, with an umami flavour unlike anything else on the planet, and the stem tastes rather salty. When heated with something like a vulkiln, it crumbles easily, making an extremely concentrated, salty powder with a hint of umami to it, like if Old World soy sauce were made into a solid. They grow where there's deep water, so they're most common in the Colourwave Coast and Dampwater Darks, though they've been known to pop up in the Swamp as well. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Colourwave Coast and Dampwater Darks, but sometimes also the Sourglow Swamp. |
![]() Tartarus Info: This pretty, blackened flower thrives in dark, wet environments. It smells faintly of smoke and fire and is three times the size of an average blobling. This, of course, makes it pretty and pretty huge in terms of flowers. One of the most unique aspects about this flower is its tendency to swallow up objects or unsuspecting creatures and bloblings that can fit within in its petals. Fortunately for these unsuspecting creatures and bloblings, the plant is not carnivorous and will often end up spitting the creature and/or blobling out. This can lead to great fun, but if one is not careful they may find themselves being spit out too far, too high, too fast, or even straight into a tree or other obstacle! Sometimes, this flower will also spit out seeds at random. Tartarus are not capable of surviving off the water and will begin to slowly dissolve if removed from it. In addition, the flower appears to dislike sources of light and will close up and shrink if it is put near a source of light. They can be found in the Tar Pits, Sourglow Swamp and Dampwater Darks (but not the Colorwave Coast water orb above); mostly, they prefer dark, watery areas. The seeds of this plant are located in a seed compartment within the flower. There tends to multiple small seeds that resemble watermelon seeds. They are also black and can be difficult to discern from the rest of the plant. The petals of the tartarus have an umami taste with a sort of smoked flavor, and the pad below tastes the same, but with a very green flavour. Made during: Eris Appears - Creation End and Maker Tiers! Found in: Tar Pits, Sourglow Swamp and Dampwater Darks (but not the Colorwave Coast water orb above). | ![]() Ghost Lily Info: Flora Name: Ghost Lily. Flora Description: Ghost Lilies do not so much grow out of the ground as hover slightly above it. The ethereal flame of the flower's stalk is entrancing to all who behold it. It is tempting to follow this almost whimsical flower with its dancing flames but doing so leads only to doom. Ghost lilies appear only when something dangerous is nearby, such as a blob-eating bulb. This is because ghost lilies absorb the fear and despair of blobs and creatures that have fallen victim to something dangerous, and will disappear when not fed sufficiently. Typically, ghost lilies are found in singles or in a group of 2-3. If a blob sees a whole meadow of ghost lilies, they need to run or roll as fast as their little blobby self will go. Biome(s): Climate Cave and Mossy Mountains, Smiley Sands, Sourglow Swamp. Seed Location and Appearance: The seeds can be found within the flowers of the ghost lilies. The seed resembles a tiny glowing blue ember. Taste: Bittersweet - however, attempting to eat this flower will cause the blob or creature eating it to feel an intense sense of dread and cold as if death itself is passing over them. Rarity: Very uncommon. They can only be found where there is danger and since the ghost lily entrances and leads blobs and creatures to danger, it can seem to be a rare find. Made during: Creepy and Crafty - Two New Makertier Plants Have Appeared! |
![]() Buttonberry Bush Info: Flora Name: Buttonberry Bush. Flora Description: A loose tangle of white yarn that resembles a neat ball of yarn the closer it gets to the middle. Inside this ball is a bunch of glittery glue, and growing on the bush are multicolored buttons that can be easily plucked. The yarn can be dyed with poffdula pod juice. Biome(s): Around highly populated areas like cities most commonly, but can be found sparsely in other areas of the world. Seed Location and Appearance: The buttons that you pick can be used as seeds; when planted they will grow another bush. Taste: Does not really have much of a taste, the buttons are plastic and the yarn is... yarn. The glue, however, tastes sorta like the cream inside cream filled donuts. Rarity: Uncommon in most places, but super common the closer you get to areas that are more populated. Made during: Creepy and Crafty - Two New Makertier Plants Have Appeared! | ![]() Parafeet plant Info: Flora Name: Parafeet. Flora Description: This odd, spotted plant has a smelly but delicious root in the shape of a rotting severed foot, with green flesh and purple spots - but it's actually a wonderful plant-based meat substitute! At the core of the footroot, a bonespike stalk grows upward and outward, sprouting spotty, gradiented leaves that surround the bonespike. Any contact with, or prolonged exposure to, the leaves themselves cause any creature who touches them to fall into a deep, numbing paralysis. Biome: Eris/Yume's Temple beneath the Tar Pits. Seed Location and Appearance: The footroot itself can regrow a new plant if any chunk of root is planted in tar from the Tar Pits. Taste: Despite the gross appearance, the footroot is incredibly meaty and very delicious tasting no matter what flavor preference you may have. The bone is difficult to break down, but if left in hot water for a long time it causes the water to become meaty flavored broth. Parafeet plant leaves taste oddly like mint jelly, but that has gone slightly off, and consuming it causes their paralytic/numbing effects to activate even faster. Size: Approximately average human foot-sized, with fern-like leaves surrounding it. Rarity: They regrow easily, but start out only growing in Yume's Temple, and grow only in tar, which can be difficult to transport. Made during: Yume's Tour. |
![]() Oluve Oil plant Info: Flora Name: Oluve plant (with Oluve Oil). Flora Description: This plant is a made of a brown trunk-stalk with multicolored plantpouches that grow off of it in sets of three. Thin but durable black vines twirl around the trunk-stalk, and also extend out to the narrow part of the plantpouch, sealing each one. The trunk-stalk is quite sturdy, but when mixed with a bit of water, its shavings can be made into a very strong but edible glue, and the dark vines all over the plant make for good, strong string. The protective, extra-durable, multicolored plantpouches are filled with flavored oils that are quite useful for cooking, among other things, and when whipped or mixed very quickly the oils can be made into a frothy whipped cream-like treat. The oil-podpouches are easily removable from the trunk-stalk, can be tied up with the vine-strings, and the plant and oil will stay fresh for many, many numbers, especially when kept in cool, dark places. Biome: Eris/Yume's Temple in the Tar pits, and after not too long, in some patches around Onyxia. Seed Location and Appearance: A clipping of the trunk-stalk of the plant can easily regrow a new plant when replanted. Taste: ![]() Size: Similar in size to Lambfruit plants, and most of the oil-podpouches are approximately half the size of a base blobling - but are incredibly stretchy, and a single oil-podpouch can easily stretch to fit about two whole base blobs inside it. Rarity: They regrow easily but start out only growing in Yume's Temple. Made during: Yume's Tour. | ![]() Glowgrowths Info: Flora Name: Glowgrowths. Flora Description: This elegant flower sprouts abundantly throughout The White City and is commonplace on the front lawns there. They're considered desirable foliage, though stepping on them is a pain so they're often kept away from paths, where they could be mistakenly trampled. Each one has a long, shimmering gem that glows a soft, whitish purple in the dark. Glowgrowth leaves are leathery and floppy, and while they're too tough to comfortably chew, their extracted juices are prized. Biome(s): Reinala's City in the Mossy Mountains, at first. Seed Location and Appearance: Underneath the gem is a soft, shimmering glitter that spreads easily in the wind. Each piece of glitter sprouts up into a new glowgrowth. Taste: The gem itself is unpleasantly crunchy, much like a rock, without much flavour other than ow. Is ow a flavour? The leaves, however, taste like a mixture between lavender and coconut and can be made into a light tea or wrapped around steamed/boiled foods to perfume them with their flavour. Size: They start out about the size of a daisy with a pinky-length gem, but if left to grow for long enough, they can get to be the size of a human forearm. Rarity: Very common in Reinala's City. Easily transportable and replant-able, though. Made during: Reinala's Tour. |
![]() Shineshrooms Info: Flora Name: Shineshrooms. Flora Description: Shineshrooms are sparkly, colorful mushrooms (in pink, blue, and purple varieties) that grow in the Climate Caves. They are less than half the size of a base blobling, but they can be easily spotted in dark corners due to their prominent sparkling. When exposed directly to intense heat (such as lava), shineshrooms will crackle and pop in a small, pretty, colorful and harmless explosion. They can typically be found in small clusters in the caves. Be careful while venturing near the lava pits, though, as it's possible a stray pop of lava can set nearby shineshrooms off, and it might be quite startling. Shineshrooms could also be a great decoration for a blobling's home - just make sure to store them in a cool, dark place so that they can thrive! Biome(s): Climate Caves. Seed Location and Appearance: Shineshrooms do not have seeds, but rather spores. These spores are the fine sparkly dust that often coats the shineshroom cap. Taste: Sweet and spicy - the shineshroom has a pleasant taste, but it feels tingly and makes light popping sounds in a blobling's mouth. Rarity: Common - but they can only be found in the Climate Caves. Made during: Maker Tier Batch Release | ![]() Vill o’ Wisp Info: Flora Name: Vill o’ Wisp. Flora Description: These flowers exist in the Sourglow Swamp, growing more commonly and closely together the nearer you get to the Tar Pits. The beautiful blooms often catch the eye of wandering bloblings, but beware! Follow too far, and you may end up lost in the tar forever. Every strand of glowing violet orbs (as they appear due to the color of their thorny stems) ends at the very edge of the tar pits. The furthest stems bend over the bubbling pools, but will break off in a blobling's grip if used for possible escape. Vill o’ wisps also make a beautiful sound like the way glimmering water looks, but you must get very close to hear it. The sound is hypnotic and benign, and almost enough of a reason to follow them. Eating a petal or two might make the consumer feel a little dazed, warm, and sleepy. More petals mean more sedation. Just don't lean too far into the flame. One might find themselves waking up without ever remembering closing their eyes in a whole different area of Terrea, sometimes just moments before being pulled under the tar. Biome(s): Between the Sourglow Swamp and the Tar Pits. Seed Location and Appearance: There is no exact seed, perse, but the roots structure of the plant extend from one flower to the other all the way to the Pits. If the strand is broken, a new bud will grow from the live end again, twisted closed until the flame can reach up its roots. Presumably, one would have to destroy the origin plant of any strand to kill the whole plant. Taste: The petals taste like creamy, sweet vanilla and rum. The stalk is astringent. The flame won't let you eat it, but you may possibly lick it, and it burns so good. Rarity: Rare, but often visible one from the other, at least at a distance. Made during: Maker Tier Batch Release |
![]() Silere Info: Flora Name: Silere. Flora Description: The silere tree is reminiscent of an old world weeping willow tree. If said willow trees had trunks that seemed to be made of a solid light and radiated silence. Their trunks are white with no perceivable detail, but are a solid wood material to the touch. Even in pitch darkness their wood is perfectly visible but they don't actually give off light. Standing near the tree all sounds become muted. Whispers become silent, normal volumes of communication become barely audible and shouts are only heard as whispers. The wood retains this feature even when chopped up, but to a lesser degree. It's willowy strands are blue in color and has small crystal-like leaves at the end of each strand that look like they should clink and make sounds like a wind chimes, but like the rest of the tree it too is silent. Unlike the rest of the tree though, if separated from the plant the Crystal-like leaves do actually sound like windchimes. The strand itself can be used in sewing and the more strands used the more noise that item soaks up. Walking through a silent silere grove can be unnervingly strange as even your own movements will give off no sound.
