Something has happened on Terrea... there are two new types of flora, and two new types of pets! 000: Each one has started spawning across the land, but most of them are hugging cities, appearing where bloblings are most plentiful.
FLORA:

Ferrowood Trees:
These 'trees' have a very hot, solid core which shines/vents heat out of the top and makes the metal paper/leaves of the 'tree' soft so they can be pulled off; they are extremely pliable and can be molded and then heat-treated/fired like clay in order to be solidified. The metal from these trees is surprisingly resistant to blobling blood's acidic quality, even in its malleable form, and takes an incredibly long time to melt from it.
The metal roots that grow underground are cooler and much harder to manipulate, but are also stronger than the metal of the paper/leaves.
They seem to be appearing mostly around more civilized areas, and have even started popping up in the Onyxia Forest!

Cyrill Star Flowers:
This plant looks innocent enough, with its nectar-filled orbs that glitter like the many-starred sky of the Old World, pure white flowers and smooth blue leaves... but it's hiding a few secrets. The nectar of this plant comes in 3 tricky varieties:
- One leaves the blobling feeling floaty and fuzzy at once, filled with imagination, creativity and sometimes mild hallucinations. Their body feels heavy and sleepy; imbibing in this liquid tends to lead to bloblings producing all sorts of weird art that even they may not understand when they're themselves again.
- The second leaves the blobling feeling jovial and talkative, but beware, for sometimes this nectar type can have the opposite affect and have your blobling crying about their lost loves... oh dear. It seems this type of nectar pulls strong emotions from blobs everywhere. Blobs who drink this type of nectar feel buzzed and a little woozy, finding it hard to roll straight.
- The third type of nectar leaves bloblings feeling tantalizingly warm. This nectar strengthens feelings that are already present, making it easier for bloblings to talk about matters of the heart. Bloblings under the affects of this nectar feel miscellaneously warm and more open to new possibilities.
The tricky part is that all three nectars look exactly the same, and the orbs do little to distinguish between them until heated or cooled. When exposed to cold, the second type of nectar becomes frosty and opaque. When exposed to heat, the third kind of nectar glows with a faint pink hue. The first one does nothing, but next to the others, it becomes obvious which one it is.
Consuming too much of any of the nectars will make your blobling vomit them all back out again, but it's not possible for them to overdose.
PETS:

Vulkilns:
These metal creatures eerily resemble a large fox head - but also with giant eyes and ears - and while they float around like bloblings can, express some basic emotions, and follow basic commands (like stay, follow, and even roll over), Vulkilns are entirely hollow metal ovens; with small vent-holes in their large ears, and in a row over their heads, that allow for smoke and flames to escape. They have control over a small personal fire inside their hollow 'bodies' which they can use to do things such as: light a blobling's way or home, cook food, heat a small area, or fire certain items. They make fine companions, though they do make a variety of odd noises, such as a metallic/robotic sort of trilling when they're happy. Vulkilns also have metal eyelid-shutters that they close fully to contain and strengthen the flames inside their 'body'.

Aurasils:
These flying bug-like friends come in all the colours of the rainbow and can be found fluttering around the openings of caves in the Mossy Moutains - their forehead bulbs glow in low light and help them see in the darkness of the local caverns. They're relatively easy to find because they almost always have a trail of colourful thread following them; their tails produce silk-like fabric threads that build up at the tip, and if they don't weave the fabric into something, it's possible for their little tails to pop.
So they weave! They weave a lot. They produce all sorts of weird, skillfully woven fabric nests that look almost origami-like in structure. Occasionally, a bunch of them will flock together and do things like decorating a poffdula tree with rainbow-coloured fabric leaves.
When trained to do so, these little guys can create long strips of fabric for their blobling friends, which can be used to make clothing, furniture and more!
These fluttery, butterfly-like things are quirky, thoughtful little companions who would be happy to accompany your blobling on their adventures.
(As of the creation of this thread, these pets and plants have started to pop up around Terrea! You're more than welcome to interact with them ICly and have your bloblings notice them as soon as this goes live, and the two new types of pets will be added to the DIY Taming thread when the new month hits. ^__^ Thank you, Vix and Sae, for the lovely new things. <3)
