01/54/24 Hey there!
It's May now!
... buuuut we are taking a break to catch up on everything. There's still a DIY Evo Phase if you wanna progress your bloblings further in their evo journey, but besides that we're on pause. Wish us luck!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
Zipping through the air as fast as her slightlytoosmall wings could take her while she was also carrying the heavy bucket full of water, some of it splashing over the sides as the awkwardly flapped away from the safety of the swamp, Eestraeli flew directly towards the hazy heat in the distance, all of her bright eyes open just a bit, forming focused slits as she neared the threat..
((Just having Eestraeli contribute to putting out the chaosflames, if anyone wants to join in, feel free, but Eestraeli doesn't focus on much for long unless it seems incredibly dangerous or incredibly fun. Also I suck and am hella slow, so the pace/interactions with her might be slowdifficult, sorry x..X'))
Nearing the growing threat, Eestraeli began to see things a bit clearer, the fuzziness that blurred her vision still strong, but before she could even see the fire fully, she heard the wailing coos of the burning Chromillia; the horrifying chorus of death and mourning cries sending a terrified chill through Eestraeli's long, furry body, and she flapped her wings faster, with more determination than before. Eestraeli was no goody-goody, but she knew that no being deserved to suffer like whatever was making these noises that would likely haunt her for quite a while... She was tempted for just a moment to turn back to the swamp, fear momentarily overcoming her sympathy for whatever would happen to whatever was in the path of whatever this hotbright fuzzyglow was.. But she couldn't do it. She just had to try and help, even if she had no idea what she was doing...
Actually getting close enough to see the flames as they licked across the sand at a speed normal earth-fire would rarely have moved (not that Eestraeli really remembered that, but still), the dark furnoodle's eyes widened in horror as she took in the sight of the burning chromillias and their petrified faces.. This was horrifying... What on Terrea had happened here?! After taking a moment to snap out of her haunted trance, she burst forward into the hotter air and closer to the flames with her bucket of water, her first thought was to splash it over the offending fuzziness and flickering, but with how fast it was moving and growing, she doubted that would actually help...
Looking around the hazy sandscape, she spotted a Chromillia nearby that had still avoided the flames, but looked like it was trying to move away from the oncoming threat, it's typically smiling face a mortified as it began to rip it's roots out from the sand in a desperate attempt to flee it's oncoming doom. Eestraeli suddenly had an idea, and she somewhat rudely zipped over to the panicked plant and splashed the swamp water from her bucket directly onto it's face and petals, soaking the screaming plant which seemed to flail in surprise some. With but a moment of hesitation, she turned tail and began to fly back towards the swamp as fast as her wings would carry her and the bucket... Maybe if she could soak the poor tree before the hotness got to it, it might prevent some of the damage at least?
Worried about the Chromillia tree she was leaving behind, but excited to see how her oozy experiment had gone, Eestraeli raced back towards the Sourglow Swamp nearby, the bucket she held swinging a bit with every thrust of her wings pushing the air around her and moving her thin, furred body forward quickly. All four of her eyes set in determined slits, worried she might be too late, she zipped past some other bloblings, gripping the buckethandle tightly as she did, but thankfully it didn't take the dark little noodle long to zoom her bucket back to the swamp, and where she had left the gooey vine pile...
Now with her little Smuck Gootie clinging happily and oozily to her head and fur, Eestraeli had filled up her bucket with more heavy swampwater, and taken off back in the direction the petrified Chromillia and the Heathaze had been, flying even faster than before, knowing she had wasted precious time in cleaning up her messy little experiment, and picking out Gootie, but hoping that the tree she had managed to soak even just a bit would still be safe.. Her wings pushed through the air as fast as she could muster the energy to, the strain making them ache, and the weight of the bucket straining her arms too, but she carried on, and as she forced herself to push forward something burned at the top of her thighs, her furred flesh shifting where her leg met her body, and small black, feathery wings burst out where there had been none before, small but powerful and enough to give her just a bit more speed and agility..
