Nestled between the protective, interwoven roots of a Chromillia, the very first, was where Clou'lin, the small, excitable, blue blobling lay. She had fallen asleep after quite some time and adventure, and upon falling asleep, had yet to wake up. She had slept so long that the world had changed around her, unbeknownst to her quite yet. Her friend, the Chromillia, had protected her and kept her sheltered from the changes, so that she might be secure when she awoke.
It appeared that today was that day, for shortly after the light reached the roots beneath which she lay, she stirred, yawned, and promptly moved out from under the roots to stretch a bit, as much as a blobby little thing possibly could.
"Mmmgh.... Good morning, Alia..."
The Chromillia cooed at the sound of Clou'lin's voice, and hearing the name she had given it, though from its mannerisms, it seemed quite surprised that she had awoken.
For reasons she could not quite explain, Clou'lin felt.... a change. In the world, in the winds, in the very sands on which she stood. Confused, she looked up to the smiling face of her dear friend.
"How long have I been asleep?"
The Chromillia could give her no answer, merely shrugging its petals in response.
Puzzled, Clou'lin looked towards the distance, curiosity and eagerness already running through her veins once more. She considered the benefits of exploring, even if just for a little while, to see what she had missed. She turned swiftly to promise her friend that she would return, before dashing out from the protection of the tree's petals, and into the world that she had slept through.
"Let's go see how much I've missed..."
