01/54/24 Hey there!
It's May now!
... buuuut we are taking a break to catch up on everything. There's still a DIY Evo Phase if you wanna progress your bloblings further in their evo journey, but besides that we're on pause. Wish us luck!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
To Aurora, everything seemed to move quickly, yet, at the same time, slowly. Sure, if she was careful, Aurora’s movement could pick up quite the pace. Her rolling across the sands seemed endless, however. The blobling swore that her adventures all took her to the same place, the same loop, despite the Smiling Sands seeming endless. Aurora did enjoy, however, any Chromillia she came across. The color was pleasing to her amber-hued eyes. It seemed as though the Chromillias liked her presence, too, making her visit to these trees (Or was it just one tree, and Aurora was heading in circles?) all the better. She didn’t mind the casual Prismermine either. Despite the first blinding and the feeling of shock, it kept Aurora on high alert. At this time, Aurora was relaxing at the base of a Chromillia, thinking about where to go next, and what to do. Maybe your blobling could say hello?
Misty always loved exploring. There were many things she could discover simply by going around,She also loved coming across plants and learning how they were different than other plants so suffice to say if a blobling waited under a tree for long enough then they would run into Misty.
She had initially started her travel by bouncing though after falling in a sand crater for the third time due to a Prismermine jumpingat her she had decided floating was the better option. She also had the sneaking suspicion that it was the same Prismermine that was jumping her having realized that she is scared easily.
As she noticed a Chromillia she picked up some speed or at least imagined herself floating faster as she made her way to the tree. She noticed the blobling later;which she immediately responded by stopping floating and starting to bounce up and down while yelling:"Hellooo!I am coming overrr"
She could appear cheerful and she was but in her mind she was thinking of all of the projects she could do with the help of other bloblings. Maybe they could make a small house out of branches and gems or they could decorate the tree or use the tree as a base to make a bigger house.
Aurora snapped awake from her small daydream, looking into the direction she heard the voice. Why, it was another blobling! Aurora’s amber hues glanced from the Chromillia tree to the blue-ish blobling. Seeming like the new blobling was friendly, she bounced over to say hello. “Hello!” She said, jiggling with slight excitement. “I don’t think I’ve seen you before! I’m Aurora.” It was clear the small blobling was super friendly and social. “What’s your name? Why are you here? I’m just curious..” The excited blobling waited for the stranger to answer, glad to have another blobling to talk to.
She smiled at Aurora and started to float rather than bouncing now that she was close enough to actually see face to face. She was glad the other blobling seemed friendly. There were some bloblings that didn't like to socialize and she would have felt left a blobling alone;so she would have been stuck with someone pouting all the time. Jiggling as well due to happiness she responded.
"My name is Misty. I'm exploring these places to find stuff and learn stuff. Also i visit Chromillia tree's to make them happy Did you know that there were rocks and glowy rocks under the sand? The trees seem to love the glowy rocks so i sometimes gather them as gifts."
She paused for a second and looked around a bit trying to guess why Aurora was here in hopes of looking smart but unfortunately she couldn't figure it out so she decided to ask. What about you?Are you visiting the trees as well or are you looking for something? Did a blobling annoy you so that you came here to get away?" floating slightly left and right as she spoke brimming with curiosity.
Aurora’s eyes widened with disbelief. “Glowy rocks... under the sand? Woah..”She gaped. Aurora gazed in wonder at the silky sand below her, her adventures seeming to take a new dept. Then, Aurora turned her gazed back at the floating blobling named Misty. “Nice to meet you! I like to explore a lot, and I thought I would spend some time with the Chromillia as I rest a bit.” She purred. “They seem to enjoy my presence, and that’s enough for me!” She then started to ask questions. “What about you? Why are you out here? What do you wanna do..?”
She looked at the cheerful tree and then back to Aurora before looking at the cheerful tree again trying to make the correlation in her mind. "You must have a gift. Trees must love you a lot and that's why they want you around. They take a lot to cheer back up when i find them so clearly you are awesome." She stopped floating as the few minutes she could float had been up though she was still rather cheerful.
Her smile briefly got bigger as despite the fact that she would never say it outloud she loved to talk about herself especially when she thought she could impress the other side. "I want to learn new things and be like elder bloblings with all the cool stuff and then teach the new bloblings about what i learnt. Be this large blobling that every blobling respects." She would have probably nodded if she had a neck though even without one she managed to make her satisfaction with her idea by slightly rolling left and right or at least she assumed she did. "Ah by the way you wanted to see the things under the sand that glow under the sun right? Do you want to try digging around to find some?" It would have been a lie if she had said that her main reason for asking this was because digging around was faster with two people but she did want to show Aurora the things she dug up.
Aurora laughed a little. “I seem to visit somewhat often. I swear I head in circles when I explore. I’d believe it, too..” she paused “I find myself talking to them sometimes, if nobody else is around..” She watched for Misty’s facial expression, as she feared she just made herself seem weird. Quickly moving on, she added “I get being respected. I think that’s something great to strive for. I wish you luck on that.. now, how do you reach those weird, glowing stones?” Her expression grew into a warm, friendly smile. Curiosity glinted in Aurora’s amber eyes.
Instead of finding it weird Misty found the idea of talking to the trees amazing. Her smile would have gotten bigger if it could. "You talk to the trees? That's awesome. I would talk to them but i get bored when something doesn't respond to me so i tend to just give them the things i dig up. " She was truly impressed by this bloblings dedication to plants and she had thought she had been dedicated to plants. She decided to double down on her research regarding plants and her effort to cheer them in the future. After all plants were amazing and they deserved all the attention she could offer being so bigger than bloblings and so patient unlike bloblings.
"As to reach the glowing stones you have to dig around and you will find them. You can pick them up with your mouth though make sure to lift the sand rather than eating it. It tastes terrible and you can't eat much anyways. Follow my lead" She spoke from experiences. She had thought if she had eat sand then she could dispose of it rather than having to carry it off somewhere however she had soon learnt that sand tasted terrible and it took way too long to properly digest to become relevant to her digging efforts.
After giving the required explanation she started showing how it was done which involved headbutting the sand away and bouncing every few headbutts in order to squeeze the sand together and make sure it wouldn't spill into the hole she made.
Aurora nodded at Misty’s explanation, though she was slight curious how sand did taste. Probably dull, like how it looked without the stars’ light reflecting onto the coarse substance. Trying not to stay within her head for too long, Aurora started digging her own hole, afraid to ruin Misty’s. It was a mess, to say the least. Her growing hole kept collapsing, despite her efforts to keep them away from the hole. Often Aurora had sand hats from “heat butting”, and, while funny at first, got increasingly annoying as she went on. Her curiousity earlier was quickly extinguished, as small amounts of sand was swallowed. After a bit, Aurora looked over. “How deep are the glowing rocks, again?”
If she could she would have given a shrug as despite her days worth of experience she hadn't been able to find something common between crystals. Though as she couldn't shrug she decided to answer the question and look at the progress her new blobling friend by approaching her hole. "They can be really deep or they can sometimes be close to surface. Also you should bounce on your hole from time to time. If you just headbutt then the sand falls down but if you bounce then the sand gets tough for a bit;Though you have to keep bouncing or the sand stops being tough and your hole gets filled again." It would have been a big lie if she claimed that she didn't feel a sense of pride as she gave an explanation on the digging techniques she cultivated through her life.
After looking at the hole a few seconds she recalled how she despaired during her attempts at digging the first time around and decided to lend her friend a hand by working on the same hole. "Let's dig the same hole together and bounce together so that it will go faster." She assumed that as two bloblings that like digging and trees they could easily cooperate though as someone who never cooperated with other bloblings when it came to digging she just went on business as usual;Albeit unintentionally leaving the burden of making them not get in eachothers way to Aurora.
After listening to the other blobling’s advice, she nodded. “I’m fine with digging the same hole.” She said. “I should probably do the bouncing, though...” Aurora laughed nervously. She scanned the area “Where should we start, then?” Aurora asked, her curiosity burned within her, she wanted, no, needed to see these stones! She tried to imagine the different shapes, colors, sizes.. She seemed to space off a bit. What would she do with the stones? That was Aurora’s biggest question at the time. If these things were as glorious as she imagined, she would have to find something worthy to do with it. Aurora jiggled with excited once again, looking over to her new-found friend. (Or, atleast, in her mind.)
She had already started digging up the hole with her head throwing the sand away when Aurora asked her which gave her a pause as she wanted to sound like she knew something regarding where they should start so her mind got to work trying to find some common ground. Something she could use the impress the other blobling though despite the usual she had nothing. "The location doesn't matter. I'll handle the digging and you handle the bouncing. I'll float out the sand and you can bounce to make sand tougher." She didn't really understand how jumping on sand made it tougher. She had discovered it by accident and had been using that ever since though she quickly made a mental note to test why later.
She was quite the efficient digger. Constant falls while travelling through the desert had made her become pretty good at floating herself and her digging experience helped her. She wasn't sure if she would later develop to be a blobling that could dig better though she hoped that she would since she liked digging. Maybe she could end up something like the creatures that loved to scare her but faster. After the third round of sand throwing she paused as if she thought of something. "Also do you know any songs?I like singing while digging so maybe we can sing together as we dig. "
“Huh? Oh, sorry!” The blobling rolled over to Misty, jumping frantically when the blobling left the hole to move the ever-growing pile of silky sand. “I don’t know any songs.” She admitted after a bit. “Do you?” She hoped for something cheerful or upbeat. “We could always make one up if you don’t!” Aurora pipped in quickly. She wonder how long Misty has been digging for these glowing rocks in her lifetime. Aurora didn’t dare to ask, however, and continued bouncing when needed. She was getting a bit tired, too, but yet again, didn’t dare to say anything.
She thought about the songs she knew but making a new song felt far. Plus it was like some sort of friendship promise with her new friend where they would get a song to remember eachother. "I do but let's make a song." throwing a bit more sand away as she did though before she got to work making a new song a brown gemstone that glowed a bit under the sun and she immediately picked it up between her lips and showed it to Aurora before dropping it and smiling. "We did it. We are the best sparkly stone diggers in the world." She had dug them up before but the concept of digging these shiny stones with friends was an entirely different thing for her.
Aurora’s mouth gaped open. “That’s.. so cool!” She had no idea that she was wondering over a desert filled with treasure and goods. She jiggled with excitement yet again, it doesn’t take much to makes her excited, does it? Aurora paused “Do you want it, then?” She asked warily. “We can also dig for another, anyways..” Dispite gaining an answer, Aurora’s mind kept ahead of what she was going to do with it. What was it useful for? How many were there under the sand? How many could she hold at a time? So many questions popped into her head.
