01/54/24 Hey there!
It's May now!
... buuuut we are taking a break to catch up on everything. There's still a DIY Evo Phase if you wanna progress your bloblings further in their evo journey, but besides that we're on pause. Wish us luck!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
It was another day of bouncing adventure where she bounced through the sandy area in hopes of finding something new. She bounced up and down though there didn't seem to be anything in sight until she ran into a Chromillia. Though unlike all the other ones she saw this one looked pale. Bouncing towaards it with brimming curiosity and a smile on her face she soon saw that the tree was frowning which turned her smile into a frown. She bounced around the tree making two full circles trying to notice what was wrong with the tree but it was to no avail. Maybe it was just sad since it couldn't gather sticks and stones? "I'll get you stuff to cheer you up. Then you will be happy again."
With that she started digging up the sand which involved her essentially headbutting the sand away to make holes in hopes of finding one of those colored gems and she didn't have to dig too hard to find a blue one that seemed to glow like the sky under the sun. Picking it up with her mouth she placed it on the tree's roots though the tree was still frowning. "I got it. It's not enough right? You want me to bring lots of them and make you all pretty." Giving herself a nod she started digging once more in hopes of finding sticks and gems she could use to decorate the tree while humming a melody she heard from other bloblings.
As she dug she continued to hum. Some holes yielded nothing but she was a patient blob or at least that was what she told herself as she got angry at the sand not giving her anything to decorate the tree with. As she dug through the holes and dropped the gems and pieces of stone she found near the tree she started planning out how to decorate the tree. She thought as she dug more and more gems though she couldn't come to a proper solution so she continued to dig around in hopes of finding something that was going to inspire her placing whichever gem she found near the tree so that they didn't get lost.
Though as time wore on she started to feel tired and after making her way out of the what she estimated to be hundredth hole though it was probably around dozen or so with her overestimating due to being tired she floated towards the tree and leaned on it while looking at the pile of the gems she had gathered forming a mound that was as big as her. Considering she was about as big as a baseball it didn't really compare to the tree but she still felt proud as her eyes scanned the horizon for any other blobling that might wander into the area and help her cheer up the tree.

I Try This, Try That, Try Everything. ● ● ● ●
I'm coming right back, right back, would you wait for me?
Heavy slow steps padded across the sand, Quinnsing aimlessly letting his large and earthen companion guide their journey as the feathered avian dozed behind them, it's head tucked under it's wing as it muttered to itself sleepily. They still were having trouble understanding this land, it seemed entirely to be, as far as he could tell, nothing but blank sands and the muddy water pooled swamps. There was precious little life, and precious little of anything save blank landscape. There was the strange birds, feathered and furred at once, who seemed to delight only in their never-ending curiosity and want for things that glitter and shine, those tricky and elusive ribbon like creatures that seemed to do naught but play and cause mischief, and the big lumbering earthy creatures that even he had trouble understanding the desires of, save that this one at least, seemingly wanted nothing more then company and to serve them.
Then of course there were the bloblings. Quinn had yet to figure out if themselves, and by extension, the rest of the bloblings were different from the other creatures that roamed this land, or if they were merely another lonely piece in this otherwise barren land. Certainly most bloblings seemed capable of speech, something they had not noted in the other creatures, but overall they seemed lacking in all other areas, lacking limbs, speed, strength, dexterity, and utility all. They were seemingly useless.
Were they supposed to be so helpless and incapable? It seemed a strange purpose in a creatures life.
Quinn seemed to always dwell on these thoughts, and they realized, absent-mindedly, that they often seemed to repeat their trains of thought, but it was hard to find much else to occupy the mind and thoughts with such an empty land with seemingly nothing but space to occupy them. Even the plants were almost non existent, with only occasional groves or lonely growing rainbow petaled trees. Where and how they grew they weren't sure either, they simply seemed to, just like everything else, be. Everything here was just in a state of existence, for no purpose other then existing. Was that really all there was?
Troubled and lost in thought, as the blobling often found themselves, if it weren't for the low grumble of the big creature below them, they might not have noticed that they seemed to be approaching one of those trees. For a moment they almost dismissed it, seeming to find the trees curious at first with the odd hum they often emitted, but otherwise just another feature that seemingly was there for no purpose other then just that. It was only at a closer glance that they noted the teal shape that seemed to lurk beside the tall tapering trunk. Hm. Another blobling. There seemed to be an odd pile by the tree as well, the sort of which the avian behind him might have tried to gathered. It was curious to see it stacked merely in a pile out in the exposed open like that, and the situation seemed to ring odd from the distance.
There was little else to do though, and Quinnsing was curious mildly. The bloblings seemed such a scattered group, and while they had only had a few short and awkward interactions with their fellows, they remembered still the words of the rainbow being when they had been told to talk to other bloblings and try to find themselves. Was that supposed to be the way forward and the purpose in their life?
Hm, perhaps. Even if not though, it was a more sound seeming course of action then continuing to aimlessly wander, and wriggling slightly, they signalled their companion to keep going forward, the terreden moving closer to the blobling and the rainbow tree, azure eyes noting the odd wilting quality as they drew closer, before their gaze flicked to the other blobling, curious. "Greetings. What are you doing? Why is this wilted?" Attempting a greeting, it came off stiff and blunt, but Quinnsing didn't seem to notice it, question in their gaze as they studied the blue-green shape leaning against the tree.
misty 688 notes: Quinn is still bad at the whole socializing D: But he brought friends!
Despite having been waiting for someone to show up she was still somewhat surprised by the appearance of another blobling as the desert seemed endless. She had a basic grasp on how she could return to the area where bloblings went to hang out as she had been careful. There were tales of bloblings that had been lost to the sands after all with everything looking the same at a certain point so she had taken precautions. Namely she had picked a certain object in the sky as her lead and she always moved towards it so that if she ever got lost then she could just move the other way around and find her way back to the other bloblings.
Perhaps this blobling was lost. She thought about it for a few seconds and decided that she would share her wisdom of desert exploration with other bloblings as well so that no other blobling got lost. Plus maybe with the help of other bloblings they could make stuff on the desert that bloblings could use to navigate like piles of stones or tree leaves on the ground or stuff like that. She realized that she was smiling though she was smiling most of the time so there was probably nothing with smiling at the moment.
Unaware of the few seconds she spent in silence as she imagined things she first looked at the tree to see if there were any changes before looking at the newcomer bloblings and the blobling that appeared to be their leader. As she realized the blobling speaking to her was the leader her eyes got a small shine on them and she got to explaining. "I am trying to cheer up the tree. It seems a bit lonely and i think that's why it withered so i have been digging up stuff and giving it to her so that she cheers up but it doesn't seem to be working so far."
After a second glance the leader blobling seemed rather knowledgeable. She wasn't really sure how bloblings could appear as something other than bloblings but she had gotten this feeling of sageliness from the other blobling. It was hard for her to admit someone else was sagelier than her but she was still young so other bloblings had lots of chances to learn stuff. When she grew older then she was going to be the smartest and most knowledgeable blobling in the world;Though as she wasn't that at the moment she had to ask for help in order to cheer up the tree and make it better.
"Do you know how to heal trees?I tried humming to it as well but it doesn't seem to be working. Maybe it is somehow sick but i never saw a chromillia that was sick before." As she spoke her gaze shifted from admiration to expectation thinking this blobling with his blobling friends was certain to make this tree better. Naturally if they couldn't she wasn't going to give up as she couldn't just leave a chromillia sad like this but she was certainly going to get disappointed and re-evaluate the sageliness of this new blobling.
