Hello! If you're looking to learn more about Bleeding Seasons, you've come to the right place. :3
Bleeding Season Intro:
Firstly, let's explain what a bleeding voucher is. A bleeding voucher is an item that a player can purchase from our shop using our on-site currency called Coins, or in the paid section for USD! A Bleeding Season is where you can spend those vouchers, and in exchange your blobling will be entered into the Bleeding Season with other bloblings, who will then 'bleed' together and create 'droplets'-- or new bloblings with features that match a fusion of its 'parents'.
This is a super fun way to see what two bloblings would look like fused together, and depending on the vouchers you use when you bleed the bloblings, you can get wild and wonderful mutations too. This is also currently one of the only ways to get bloblings with multiple 'born types', which are unique types of bloblings with special skills and attributes. You can read more about them in the Born Type Dex!
After you submit your bleed, assuming you get a slot, a member of our art team will draw your blobling's new droplets based on the kinds of vouchers you spent, and the parents' voucher lists and overall appearance. You will need to fill out a form with the other people whose bloblings you're bleeding your blob with, and all players must agree to the use of their bloblings in the bleeding.
At the end of the Bleeding Season, after our mods are finished creating them, your blobling's new droplets will be posted in a thread in the Bleeding Seasons section of the forums, which you'll be pinged to. You'll be expected to discuss with the other players involved in the bleeding who gets which droplet, and once claimed, you'll need to put your new droplet and its voucher list away in your Player Profile.
Bleeding Season Form:
Bleedings In-Character:
Bleedings can be canon or non-canon, meaning that the bleedings that happen between bloblings can be acknowledged in-character or remain completely OOC, wherein each individual player can make up how their character came to be. Which you end up deciding on is entirely up to you and whoever owns the blobling you're bleeding yours with! It can be fun figuring out how two bloblings bled, from a fight where blood mixed or an accidental collision.
That said, when two bloblings bleed together, they pass down an even mixture of their features. If one parent has cat-like legs and the other has bird-like legs, the droplets (this is what a blobling baby is called) will have a 50 percent chance at inheriting one or the other. If one parent has cat-like legs and the other has no legs, the blob has a 50 percent chance of inheriting no legs. Colours are a bit more random, in that each child has about a 33 percent chance at inheriting one parent's colour, a 33 percent chance at inheriting another parent's colour, and a 33 percent chance at inheriting a mixture of the two colours.
Every bleeding that takes place has a very, very small chance of producing 'mutated' children. The ways in which this manifests are entirely random, but almost always result in parts or features that neither parent has appearing on the 'mutated' droplet.
The numbers in a bleeding can be modified via items available in the shop, one example being:
- A Mutation Voucher will up the chance of receiving a mutated baby from a bleeding! The percentage of a droplet being mutated is listed in the item description and should also be plainly shown in the image.
Once you decide which two (or more) bloblings you wish to bleed together, be they both yours or yours and somebody else's, you should fill out the Bleeding Form and post it to the current Bleeding Season thread. Sometimes the thread isn't open for posting, but don't worry, that just means it isn't Bleeding Season! Just wait for a little while and another will be posted.
