A tarborn, a tarborn, what was a tarborn? Ozi had flittered to the great white palace in the mountains with her coalkanine trotting after her. She hadn't even gotten pass the walls before she was stopped by a very pretty, but stern blob. Who had been standing guard and as soon as she was seen was told to go get a tarborn. Ozi first needed to find out what a tarborn was. And where else would one find a tarborn but in the tarpits.
Ozi whistled off tune as she flitted down the mountain. Her coalkanine stumbling after her. His face grinned with a crooked smile that she had drawn a couple of numbers ago. She should probably give him a fresh face soon. His face was getting a little smudged. It hadn't helped that he had stuck his face in a snow drift.
She flitted around a corner of the trail and saw the tarpits off in the distance. She did a twirly loop in the air. "Haha, See, see I did it! I found the tarpits. Or is it Pits of tar? Doesn't matter . I found it!" She did a couple more loops in the air while laughing manically.
She flew off as fast as her little wings would take her. Her Coalkanine running as fast as it could on its short stumpy legs. And gleefully barked at its flying owner.
They reached the first of the tar pits. Ozi circled around it while her coalkaine sat on the shore it's bright orange body stood out like a sore thumb. (what ever that was).
"Nothing here!" She yelled down. Then fluttered over to the next near pool of the inky tar pool. She circled this one also. She almost gave up seeing any tarborns or any other borns at this pool. Until a rather small black gloob moved and a face appeared. Was this a tarborn?
She giggled as she fluttered toward the blob.
As she got closer she could make out more details. This blob stood on four legs and was primarily black in color with a white stripe going down its back. Two sets of small ears sat on top of its head. And it had a more cat shaped muzzle. The eyes were a striking purple shade.
And the tail was long and thick and curled up over the back. And it oozed black tar from it's body. Or it had just gone for a swim in the nearby pool.
"Are you a Tarborn?" She asked bluntily.
"Who are you? Go away!" The blob snarled back.
Ozi smiled. "I am Ozi. And I can't go away until I find out if your a tarborn. Were you born soooo drippy or did you go for a swim?
The black blob stared at her for a bit. "I was born this way! Now go away!"
That meant that the blob must be a tarborn. Ohhh Goody! Now to get this blob back to the white castle and the white fox lady.
"Ok. But just stay right here. " Ozi then fluttered toward where her pet was and then wiped the face clean. She was going to have draw a new face any way. She broke off one of the horns and then began to scribble. When she was done. The coalkanine sported a snarling face with lots of teeth and three eyes. She then leaned in close to her pet. "Alright boy. You know what to do. Time to take the blob back to the white lady. "
Her coalkanine looked at her and promptly sat down and started scratching it's self behind the ear.
"No, NO! Your suppose to bark and snarl and scare the blob up the mountain to the white fox lady. "
The Orange coalkanine cocked his head to the side in mid scratch. It's snarling face looking out of place and not glowing at all.
Ozi gave a huff of annoyance and rubbed the snarl and the many teeth. She then proceeded to draw a mouth that was grinning slightly and a tongue hanging out. The coalkanine's face lite up and it started barking.
"You like that do you. Well lets go get that blob." Ozi and her pet made there way back to the tarblob. Who had been watching them.
"Alright you can come with me quietly or the hard way" Ozi said. Her coalkanine barked as though he was agreeing with her.
The tarborn looked at her. "If I go with you. Will you leave me alone?"
"Yes, of course. " Ozi quickly said. She didn't mention the fox lady at all.
"I will come. But no talking to me."
Ozi did some loops in the air and then she led them back up the mountain and to Reinala.
