After some other blobling passed by the hair snake in the library while speaking to a companion about a party, Cas had taken note of said hair snake's interest in attending a party by the pause the hair snake had given upon overhearing. It had given Caspian a mischievous idea. But Cas needed to do some information gathering for this, and it was not the kind of information gathering one could do through books here in the library.
No, the knowledge Cas sought was found in the rest of the city, particularly the busiest parts of the city. So he slithered around those areas, his usual cheery smile on his face. Multicolored eyes gazed around, seemingly wide-eyed and awed as Cas played the part of an innocent tourist while hanging around. His ears twitched minutely as he sought what he wished to know.
It seemed a futile task after the first bit of time, but eventually Cas did indeed find what he sought. He followed subtly and listened for further details, until he had the full picture. Including, very importantly, location.
Then Cas returned to the Library. His expression was cheery. "Hey, Greenie!" He called out to the hair snake, who did not seem to be paying attention to him even after Cas called his name. "Found a cool party! Want to come with?"
At that, the hair snake did pause, staring at Cas for a long moment, and then enthusiastically nodding in affirmation. Caspian's grin somehow got impossibly more cheery than before. "Follow me, then! Don't want to be late, do you?" The hair snake shook his head.
"Off we go~!"
It took some time for them to reach the right building, but they were definitely late. They would have been late by the time Cas had talked to the hair snake. It was part of the whole fun. As they entered, the inhabitants paused in confusion. They were here without invitation, after all.
Cas prepared to slip away, only to pause as a familiar blobling made an appearance, the one that had been talking about a party in the library to begin with. Rather than being upset, though, the familiar blobling was grinning. "Wow, you got Greenie out! Been trying to figure out how to do that for weeks! Thank you! Welcome to my party, you two!"
...Well, at least Cas had succeeded at something, even if it was not the prank he had been attempting.
