[Feb 12-Apr 3/2021] Yume's Tour
[Aug 10-Aug 12/2019] Yume's Truth or D'Eris (Smiley Sands Discord)
Altum walks by the campfire on the way back from his recent outing, and stops by in curiosity. Maybe he should talk with Yume, after all, they are related to Eris. He heard their voice and Sire got a little bubbly. Physically bubbly. That was enough consent for Altum to continue. "Hello. Do you mind if Sire and I join in?"
"Also, it's a pleasure to see you again Clou'lin, how have you been?"
Altum received a tingling feeling from Yume's small speech. He had a feeling that the next set of events will get more interesting. "Sure, it seems like a quick way to get to know each other. I'm in."
Sire was just busy staring Yume down in a friendly yet slightly off-putting way.
He rocked back and forth and thought about it for a few seconds before deciding on which option he wanted to do. He didn't have much to lose anyway. "I suppose I will go with dare for now."
The request Clou'lin made was easy enough to do besides some bloblings near the fire. "Okay, let's see how this ends up."
He begins to hop, bringing his tail and wings close to his body in order to not hit others. "One. Two. Three..." He landed closer than he wanted to another blobling, but only making it awkward. "Four. Five." He timed his jumps so that the last one ended up where he started. "Well, it's my turn now. Hm... How about Yume, truth or dare?"
He couldn't think of what to say, as he never did much with Yume, but eventually he formed a question that hopefully didn't dig too deep. "Um. What do most people think is true about you, but isn’t?" He slightly squished himself into the ground, wondering what will happen next. His tail was twitching in anticipation.
Altum watched in amazement as the blobling had fun. His mind did a little flipflop trying to comprehend the entertainment. He hadn't thought about being reckless, as most of his ideas where careful and thought out. Perhaps trying something crazy now and then wasn't so bad if there was fun to be had in it. As for now, poor blob, those burns might not feel so good.
"Oh." The question brought him out of his river of thinking. "Truth. Ask me your best." His emotions were a little mixed since this was perhaps the most enjoyment he got out of interaction as of yet.
He raked his mid for the few answers he knew he had. "Well, I remember these hard flat objects called books. They had words in them that you could see, and they would tell stories, have recipes, or tell general information." His mind drew a blank on what else to add on. "Oh yeah, and a term called science. Similar to how our blood makes more of us, different mixtures could be combined to make new things." He hoped his words didn't fly over everyone's heads. "That's about it..."
"Well it depends how daring the other is. But It is my turn to ask anyways. You." He points at Ambrosia, not knowing their name. "Sorry, I don't really know you, um, truth or dare?"
"Sure. One of us starts by asking the phrase 'truth or dare' and truth means asking a question that you tell honestly. Picking dare means we tell you to do something and you gotta do it. I don't remember what happens if you don't though. The person who got asked then goes next asking another." He paused to let it sink in. "I can go into specifics if you are still confused."
"I don't want to send someone else into danger without trying it first, don't worry." He sat there and came up with a question. "What is your biggest accomplishment so far?"
"Yeah, go ahead, anyone around here."
Altum faced the new comer a little while after they spoke. "We're doing a small get to know each-other game, care to join in?"
Altum nodded as well. "Yep, you're good to go."
Altum was getting better at this interacting game, he decided he could go for another dare, nothing bad could happen, right? "I'll choose dare." He was quite curious on what would happen next.
The dare took him aback, what a weird answer. He glanced around the sands looking for sticks, but there were none to be found. "Well, if I had a stick I could show you something neat... I would have to find something else." He thought what he could do. He guessed that he could do something with his wings. He looked back at the fire. "I guess I can try this." Without further thought, he flapped up in the air, careful to tuck his tail in and drifted very close to the fire. He pumped his wings, making loud claps of sound and wind, raising the flames to twice their height due to the extra oxygen.
He tiredly glided back to his sitting area and looked at Ky for confirmation that they were satisfied. If so then he would be able to continue. "Is that decent enough?"
The truth or dare game started to die down with interaction, or so Altum thought. He at least had entertainment with those few dares and truths he asked and was told. Ambrosia's dare seemed interesting, so he stayed longer then he thought he'd want. Meanwhile, sire was done staring and was doodling in the dirt with his goopy finger.
The sinking into the ground wasn't as interesting to him with Sire around, but Yume appearing in the air was another thing. The little specks that they spat out was curious, but he was never expecting the heat. It seemed Ambrosia reacted before he could, and all that he managed were to do was spreading his wings in a reflexive manner, smacking a random blob, but protecting Sire and himself slightly.
The heat didn't feel good, but it wasn't that bad at all. When it was over, he put his wings down and checked Sire. Not much happened, he just had slightly less mass, but he seemed happy enough with that magic trick. Altum decided it was good enough for him. "Wow... I'm, uh, speechless. That was very amazing"
