It’s warm, and it’s still. Very still. There’s no breeze, only an infinite stretch of sand around her, glistening in the lowlight. Nothing ever seems to end, as far as she can see it: Not the sand, or the sky, or the abyss of space. To the little blob’s mind, it seems to go on forever. It’s all so big! And it’s warm, but then below her feet- oops. No feet. Below her... body, there’s tiny speckles of sand, and she can’t help but wonder how deep it goes, how small the sand shrinks.
Suddenly, she feels a little less tiny. But the feeling doesn’t last for long.
Wide, pale eyes stare up at all one, two, three, seven stars, winking back at her. There are a pair of shapes deep in space, one swirling, the second staring back. It’s the most beautiful thing she’s ever seen. She thinks she could stand here forever, in a world stood still, sheer wonder overtaking her and making her breathless.
It's all so overwhelming, the sight of the vast sky over her head, the feeling of sand churning when she shifts her weight. She nudges a tiny dune and simply watches it fall, and then she does that again, and again. It will never get old. She's alive. How incredible is that? The sheer weight of it threatens to dwarf her, and all she can do is stare up the sky.
Grandfather took a stroll though the smiling sands and looking at how much it changed( Because Grandfather will be an ancient wolf). When he saw a sand color blob, he stayed and He waited to see what the blob was doing. the blob looked confused. Grandfather went over very slowly and looked around to see if anyone is also here. Grandfather went forward And spoke to the Blob. " Hello, My name is Grandfather. Whats your? are you New? " Grandfather keep coming forward toward the blob. Grandfather heard a voice from behind him. Grandfather Knew that this Blob was new to the would.
Ah! Another... blob. That's funny. She wasn't sure why she would expect anything other than a blob, but it still blindsided her. Maybe just from how sudden it was. Agnes reels and blinks, giving a startled hop back as she's broken out of her thoughts. She'd been so busy watching the stars and letting sand fall, this other creature(?) had completely sneaked up on her. At least he didn't seem hostile. Even if his name was a little weird. It was just some nonsense word, but it rang the most vaguely familiar.
(Well, 'Agnes' didn't mean anything either, so... she probably wasn't one to throw stones.)
Right, she was staring. This was all happening so quick. Suddenly, it was like the world snapped out of stop-motion, and there was a blob there, waiting for her response. "New?" She, uh... she guessed she was. "I... guess so." It was the most surreal feeling. Like she'd been asleep for a million years, and finally cracked one eye open - how couldn't she be blinded by the sudden light? "Uhh..." It was all so much that it took her a moment to answer his other question.
"Agnes! I'm Agnes. Um, hi!" She added awkwardly, shifting her weight. She had questions, sure, but she had so many questions that she wasn't even sure what to ask.
... maybe she'd just let him take the wheel and explain? She wouldn't want to be an annoyance.
Grandfather spooked Agnes as he was walking up to her.
"Nice to meet you Agnes." Grandfather spoke to Agnes and went next to her. As his eye was staring at the seven stars in the sky.
"do you want me to show you around? And a very good friend of mine will come, when ever she gets out of the tar pits. she is the master of tar pits let me tell you." Grandfather had a worried look on his face. as if there was something not right with Midnight.
Grandfather took a cookie out of his bag that Candy Gave him.
It took a bit of concentration to make out what he was saying, as if she was listening in from under a doorway. It was all so much that it took her a long moment to process what was around her. Show her around, does that mean... "There's more?" She asked quietly. Honestly, she thinks she'd be happy with just this. She was even a little worried to leave it - what if the rest didn't match up? What if it hurt her? The 'tar pits', at least, didn't sound very good...?
The pastry he gave her was good, though. It was cold, but it made her feel warm. Oh. That was ironic, wasn't it? She blinked belatedly, reluctantly glancing away from the sky. She was a little anxious to leave, but it would have felt rude to decline. And she was curious! Just... also a little worried. "Y-yeah, okay." She managed slowly, awkwardly shuffling her body towards Grandfather. How did she even move this thing? She'd pretty sure she would have face planted, if she had anything except a face.
"So where- I am? What is this?" She wasn't even sure herself what 'this' was supposed to mean. The desert? The world? Existing? She didn't have answers to any of those, so, uh, she'd take whatever the other orb would give her, honestly.
Grandfather looked around and saw Midnight and her meowler running. Midnight tripped and rolled in the sand. She hit Grandfather as she was rolling.
" Sorry Grandfather." Midnight yelled from the sandy ground. " But PinkRose would like to meet you." Midnight yelled again. her meowler rann up to Midnight and started to lick her clean. Midnight stared to get up when she saw Agnes. Midnight pulled Her meowler back and introduced herself. "Hi i am Midnight, what is yours? And Have you seen the tar pits or the place where you read? What is it called again?" Midnight sat next to Grandfather who was just looking up at the stars. Midnight's Meowler went and sit next to Midnight.
"Oh, uhhh, Agnes! My name's Agnes. And, um... there are tar pits?" Oh, that sounded... interesting but maybe kind of dangerous? And a place where you could read? There was a word for that, and it was on the tip of her tongue, but she couldn't place it. For better or worse, it seemed like the sand would end eventually. She wasn't sure how she felt about that. It was all a bit overwhelming, really.
"I, think I was just born, or something?" 'Born' didn't feel like the right word, but she couldn't place a more accurate one. While the gray sphere looked like her, these two newcomers were definitely a pair of odd creatures. She couldn't shake off a prickle of nervousness. Hopefully she hadn't done anything wrong yet? Like, maybe no new blobs are meant to be born into this world, or something. Probably not! It was a bit of a silly thought, but she didn't have any information at all. Maybe that was how it worked for all she knew! This was... getting ridiculous, honestly.
Okay, so... Grandfather, PinkRose, and Midnight. Wanting to be helpful, she scrambled for a place where someone could read. "A library?" She finally landed on, giving a wide-eyed blink.
She wasn't gonna think too hard about how she knew that. She... didn't want to think too hard about anything, really. Her head was so fuzzy.

Kritter had been rolling around the sands, looking for something to do. He wasn't sure what he had expected, but just starting to exist was kind of boring. So far, he'd eaten a few piles of sand, as well as some of the strange flowers. There wasn't really much for him to do so far, however. After all, he only had a mouth and a pair of eyes, and putting sand in your eyes wasn't very fun, although it was painful. In the distance, he heard two voices. Well, the only noises he'd heard so far were wind and himself moving around, so this was new to him. Kritter rushed over, excited to see something else besides sand, holes and weird flowers. He rolled to a stop a few feet away, and proceeded to sit there idly, wondering if anything would happen.
"Ya have you been there yet? Oh the library is my second favorite place. Have you been to the tar pits yet?" Midnight said and asked in her face. Grandfather grabbed midnight's shoulders and pulled her back. " give her some space, tarlily." Grandfather said after he pulled her back. then something caught his eye. something, was it a blob? what had moved. then he looked to were he saw a blob. looks like another new blob. he wasn't new, he was old, and rusty with things. in the background Midnight was sitting with a frown on her face and she did not look happy.
