Max saw the note on the arena door. Hmm stress Management. He wasn't entirely sure he needed any.
"Can Max read to Maw. Pleeeeeaaaassssseeee!" The round blob said. He grinned up at Max with his grin of way too many teeth.
Max sighed. Maybe he did need some help in that area after all. Ever since he had rescued the blob, Maw had not left him alone. And his questions were non stop. Max had found himself on occasion yelling at Maw to be quiet. And more then once thinking that it would be a bad idea to loose him in swamps.
"It says that Parabellum is doing a class of stress management." Max answered.
"Ohhhhh. Maw want to do that." Maw exclaimed. "Max, what is stress management?" He asked a moment later. He looked up at a Max expecting an answer.
"Um," Max tried to think of a good explanation. Well..." But Maw had stopped listening and was already bounding into the Coliseum.
There were already a few blobs seated around the black and gold horned blob.
Max and Maw took a seat. It was then that Parabellum told them that they were to close their eyes and other senses.
Max did. He felt himself start to calm down.
His eyes shot open and he was half way standing when he heard Parabellum shout.
He was suppose to stay calm? How? Max settled down again.
But soon he felt something soft hit his ear and then in his chest. He tried to keep his eyes closed and stay calm. He really did. And he was almost back to being in a trance like state.
"Max." Maw whispered next to him. "That pink blob has her eyes open. She not suppose to do that."
And there is a purple one throwing the soft things back. Maw thought we were suppose to sit here. They are not doing it right."
"Max? Hey Max, are you listening?"
Max finally lost it.
"MAW! BE QUIET!" Max's shout rang out across the field.
For a second the arena was silent.
"Maw doesn't think you passed." Maw stated.
