01/54/24 Hey there!
It's May now!
... buuuut we are taking a break to catch up on everything. There's still a DIY Evo Phase if you wanna progress your bloblings further in their evo journey, but besides that we're on pause. Wish us luck!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
Yes they should go. "We should see if there are more of these out here and if there are different kinds of things. And maybe I will be able to find a name." She said to Petra.
She patted the black thing with the colorful top and then started making her way across the endless sand. And that is what it was endless. She found that floating right above the sand was the best way to travel.
She spied another of the black stems with the colored tops in the distance.
"Petra, Look there is another one." She pointed it out.
Just then there was a spray of sand and a strange looking creature popped out of the sand scaring her. She forgot about hovering and fell face down in the sand.
"What was that?" She said as she spit sand out of her mouth. The thing seemed to laugh and then disappeared back down its hole.
Petra rolled along at a steady pace. They weren't as fast as the blob with arms, but they were motivated to keep up. They looked where their new friend was pointing: another tall, black thing. Was this what the whole world was? Petra was going to get bored of it soon.
Petra jumped back, shocked and surprised as another one of the long, furry things jumped out of the sand. Petra laughed too, as it ducked back into its hole. It was more fun when other people were poked by those things, Petra realized.
"That was one of the long furry things I told you about! I saw some earlier when I was exploring on my own. I don't know what they are or what they want. Do you think they can talk or hum?"
"That was not funny!" She said as she gathered herself back up.
"Those were the furry things you saw?" She glanced around expecting to see it again but all she saw was the hole it had made was slowly filling back up with sand. She still kept an eye on it. Who knows maybe it would pop back up. And she did not want to be surprised like that again.
"I don't know. It did laugh at me though. But I did not hear it say anything and it did not hum." She answered Petra.
Lets keep going. Maybe there will be something different at the next shade thing. And she continued moving forward.
As she got closer she noticed that this shady thing was dull in color.
"Look, This one is not as nice colored as the one we stopped at. Do you think there is something wrong with it?"
Petra laughed, and then tried to stop. It wasn't nice to laugh at their new friend's misfortune if only Petra thought it was funny. Petra stopped laughing and followed.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make fun of you."
Eventually, when they found another shade with the black steam, the other creature said that this one had a faded color. Petra examined it and noticed that the ground here felt different, too. It was still sand, but less grainy and more smooth.
"It's wetter here, too. Do you think there are more different things to find if we keep going this?"
Petra bounced excitedly at the prospect of new things to poke. They could leave behind this sandy area and find something else, something more complicated. But first, Petra wanted to find out what was going on with these black stems.
"Maybe if we hum to it?"
Petra pressed their body up to the shade's stem and started to hum, but nothing changed. Petra could hear a very quiet hum, so quiet that it couldn't be intended for them to hear.
She had not noticed that the ground had begun to get wetter. She stopped hovering.
"Oh your right. And its slightly colder then it was before." she said.
She walked over to the black stem and looked up.
"Look, Its frowning. The other one was smiling. I wonder if this one is sad." She placed her hand next to Petra and started to hum along with her. But the humming was not working.
"Your right this one does seem to be...Shy" She hummed a little longer.
"Should we keep going and see if the sand gets even water? Maybe there will be other things to poke and explore."
After seeing that the humming did nothing to help, Petra frowned in imitation of the black stem. When their friend suggested continuing on, Petra spun around in a circle to express their excitement.
"We should keep going. Maybe there are more different kinds of sand and different furry things. We should keep going until we find out all of the different ways there are for something to be."
And poke them, Petra thought eagerly. They lead the way, making sure that the other blob followed behind, as they left the sandy area to find new places and new things to explore.
