Bloblings have noticed mysterious, gooey bloblings popping up in the world. Many bloblings are weary of them because of their resemblance to the tar from the tar pits, which have been known to eat bloblings for something called 'breakfast'.
01/09/23 Hey there!
It's September now!
We've updated the Art Prompts and Writing Prompts with some new stuff for September, as ever. I can't believe we're getting so close to the end of the year. o-o
It's going to be an Evolution Phase this month! Get prepared for the blobbles of the site to grow up into a new appearance that's all their own. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your little dudes! The new mods will be opening up art slots to complete your blobs' new artwork. aaaaaa exciting~
The mods will be putting out their reserve slots, some for the very first time! Stay tuned!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
Slightly to the left of the breeding tents is another, smaller structure. It looks carefully created, as if constructed by caring hands, and inside it is a rainbow-coated meow. They're one of the smallest you've ever seen, like a bunny-sized meowler that's fading away.
As you approach their dwelling, they look up at you, but they do it in such a way that it becomes obvious to you that even this minuscule motion is deeply tiring for them. Their head wobbles as they raise it, too heavy for the noodly neck it's attached to... but they beam up at you, their trademark smile on their lips. They make eye contact for but a second before their face falls back down upon their paws, their smile never fading.
Damazi is nowhere to be seen, but there are several bloblings in the distance tending to some of the other meows, making it clear this one isn't going to stay unattended for long.
If you wanted to, you could probably leave something here for Damazi to see when she returns. (There may even be some Affection in it for you.)

Hope had been hanging around the pens after picking up a bred meowler. the band of travelers( Hope, Lye and Mossy ) saw the commotion and wanted to help. They hopped onto Lyes back to gather vines and weaving resources, Hope wove together a fair sized hutch and platform for the meowler to sleep and lay on, should they have the want to. and the whole ride there and back Mossy spun a blanket to go into the hutch. (barely covers the bottom the of the hutch when the got back the girls set up the platform and hutch, and as the left the meowler to rest hope give the rest of the terreden jellys. she had made them not to long ago when training and thought they might have some good here since they had healed her up even after the accident.
Hope had wished she could do more, and couldnt imagine how damazi is feeling, if it was Lye or Mossy she wouldnt have a clue what she'd be doing, but it would be an adventure she wouldnt take well to
Lilac rushed over to the pens as fast as her legs could take her as soon as they stopped talking on the flutter thread. She had to try to do something! Even if she wasn't sure if what she did to help would actually be any good. On the way there she searched for just the thing she thought would help. A baskobirden! This way if the meowler wanted to explore or move around they could be carried around inside of the basket and not have to use their own strength. Perhaps it could even cheer them up enough so they would eat or move more on their own. The first baskobirden Lilac encountered was absolutely charmed by the head pats she gave and was very willing to go along if it meant more of them.
Lilac was on the verge of crying as she approached the little home of the meowler. Trying her best to hold it together she entered and gave soft little pets to the meowler telling them just how sweet and precious they were. Kneeling next to them she brought the baskobirden in trying to introduce the two of them and get them to be familiar with each other. Lilac knew she should go, she shouldn't stay long, but before she left she gave a little hug to the baskobirden telling it to listen to whatever Damazi told it and to help the meowler when it could. Then with more than a little hesitance, she left the pens. However, she did make sure to stay close by in case she could think of anything else to give.
Meanwhile, Leonardo had been in the area while lurking and watching everyone else chat. He had been much too shy to actually say something, but he was inspired to do what he could as well. Not to mention the way Damazi spoke absolutely broke his heart. So off he went as well to find an aurasil for his plan. Soon he found one, and it was completely happy to comply with helping Leo make something out of its fabric. The two got right to work until he bumped into Gideon who had also recently tamed an aurasil to do the same exact plan. As much as Leo wanted to shy away and not have to actually talk to another blob, he was determined to do this so he faced his fears, and they became friends (more on this from Iris's side). The two worked hard to make a blanket to give to the little meowler.
Once they finished he went to the pens and neatly folded the blanket and placed it gently into the basket of the birdobasken that had been left there.
Nyvo didn't know what was wrong, only that Lullia looked distracted, and her tail was flicking nervously back and forth. He meowed loudly, and butted against her, trying to shake her out of it. She rested a claw on his head and scratched him behind the ear, eyes still distant. He couldn't shake her from this. Instead, he just shifted himself a little closer, keeping careful watch on the rest of the building.
All of a sudden, Lullia stood up, gave the other two squad members a quick nod, and headed out the door, Nyvo following right behind. She took off and travelled towards the swamp, her many wingeyes moving in different directions. She passed by a couple emptier groves before she finally found one with those little white flower-type things, then dove, snatching off as many fruits as she could carry. Nyvo followed in suit, mouth crammed full of the things. Even if he wasn't entirely sure what was happening, he trusted that Lullia was.
He continued right after her, until they reached a very familiar place. His pace slowed a little as he entered the area, looking around carefully. It still felt like home. As he passed by the pens, he stopped, staring in at the other meowlers. Without even really realizing it, he sat down, losing all sense of time and purpose as he just watched. A sudden but gentle stroke of his fur startled him back to reality. He stared down at Lullia, and she stared right back at him, every one of her many eyes looking up. A moment of silence passed between them, and then Nyvo stood back up. Lullia nodded, and continued walking.
The two entered the new structure carefully. Nyvo finally realized why they were there, what their purpose was. He rushed over to the tiny meowler, settling down in front of them, staring into their vacous eyes. He dropped the bleeding heart fruits, nudging one right in front of the meowler with a worried mewl.
Lullia set her fruits down at the edge of the tent, then settled down by Nyvo, staring into the little meowler's eyes, stroking their tiny head. Her face contorted in a pained experession, and all of her many eyes closed, blue blood welling at the edges of them. Nyvo licked her face, and she opened her eyes again, trying to force a smile. He could see it in her eyes, Lullia knew there wasn't much of a point. She pressed herself against him and sobbed for a while. Even once she stopped, Lullia stayed buried there in Nyvo's fur, and he curled around her in return, pulling her as close as he could.
Gideon and Perl had just left Damazis when the posts went out. He wanted to help, but how? What is something that could help make Reese more comfortable? Maybe a blanket? There are some aurasils around maybe Gideon could tame one! Gideon goes off and tames A Red Aurasil! While explaining what he needs from the aurasil he bumps into Leo who also had a red aurasil. Gideon asks if Leo saw the flutter posts as well and was planning on making a blanket as well? As it turns out Leo was, So Gideon suggests they have their aurasils work together and Leo Reluctantly agrees seeming not quite used to interacting with other blobs. Gideon sat down with Leo while they were waiting for their aurasils to make the blanket for Reese. They started to talk. Leo seemed very closed off at first until Gideon started asking him about what he likes to do in his free time. Art is Leos passion, it's what he lives for. Gideon and Leo talk for a few days until their aurasils have finished the blanket. Once they left the blanket they started to part ways before Gideon stops them. "Do you wanna be friends bro? Like wanna meet up and chat at the library soon?" Leo responds "Yeah, That sounds like a good time." They fist bump then part ways. Hopefully that blanket keeps Reese comfortable because it just formed the most amazing friendship. The Blanket

Velvet had assumed the situation was bad from Damazi's messages. Considering that the lovely tamer was easily the foremost authority on meowler care and behavior, her concern alone was... concerning. If she didn't know how to fix whatever was ailing the meow then Velvet wasn't entirely sure what anyone else could do. In spite of that, the foxy lady blob had hope that Reese would recover. Everyone and everything else seemed to do so... surely Damazi's meowler would too.
At least, that's how she felt until she saw the meowler. The weak head bob and clearly exhausted tiny body... Velvet's core ached for the creature and Damazi. Doubt crept in and worry took over. Sitting the fish she had brought along off to the side she swiftly made her way to the tiny meowler with soft steps and Queen on her heels.
"Oh, hun..." Velvet crooned as Queen tucked in gently beside the smaller meowler. Velvet followed suit. Laying down on Reese's other side she curled herself around both of the meows and propped herself up on one arm. With one hand she ran her fingers through Queen's fur while softly caressing Reese's head with another hand. Running her fingers in a gentle trace of the pretty kitty's tiny face she waited to see if the feline had any complaints. She watched as one eye peeked open at her for a moment before sliding back closed. The faint nudge that followed was all the confirmation she needed. She added her final hand into the mix to rub the meowler's back.
"You'll get better for her right hun?" Her words themselves trembled a little with her worry. The little meow didn't reply of course, tired as the poor thing was the blob wasn't really expecting an answer. "She'll get back here with all sorts'a things for ya and we'll figure something out." She idly traced the little swirl mark above one eye. "You'll be back to yourself in no time at all." She assured the feline as best she could and then with a sigh she hummed a soft vague tune to the little creature like a lullaby.
At least she sincerely hoped the feline would get better as she wasn't sure what the alternatives might entail. Would they fade away to nothing? Just continue to suffer? The feline's pain would be Damazi's and neither of them deserved that. Neither would want that for the other. So she had to hope it wouldn't come to that. The sweet little tamer's sweet little meowler would get better... one way or another. Velvet needed to believe. Until then, she'd do what she could and make sure that Reese was as comfortable as possible.
It wasn't as though Evrah could completely understand the tamer's exact situation. His relationship with Vyers has been a slow thing that was primarily made of begrudging tolerance from both sides. However, he did respect the tamer's talent and the fact that she had done much for many of the blobs who would come seeking loyal companionship. As his fools had talked about her plight and their intentions to support her... he decided he might as well do the same. He had benefited from her talents after all. He also understood the fear of loss all too well and thought maybe... even if he couldn't solve her trouble directly perhaps she might appreciate having someone listen to her talk about it.
When he arrived and found that the tamer herself wasn't there he had almost left immediately. The blobs that had come to take care of the meowlers in her absence didn't interest him after all. But then he happened upon the small structure and realizing what it was, entered.
He cringed at the state of the tiny meowler within. What he saw was a frail, pathetic creature. It almost seemed cruel to him to leave it in this state. Why not end it? Blobs supposedly came back, these creatures might too... and if not it might hurt the creature less. Of course, it hardly mattered what he thought since the creature's fate wasn't his to choose. And judging from the gifts left for the creature, there were quite a few who still held out hope it's recovery.
Watching the tiny thing for a moment after it's pitiable display Evrah walked over and sat down before the creature. "I am told your kin are intelligent and Vyers- in spite of his attitude- has not proven otherwise." The tiny meowler peeked it's eyes open briefly and took a weak breath, but that was the only reaction. "If you do understand me, then understand this: Your current state has caused quite a fuss. You'd do well to get better as soon as you can because for everyone who comes here to see you, they forget that they were called here by your tamer's pain. You should make sure the tamer is cared for as well and you can't do that like this."
He watched the tiny meowler for a moment longer and didn't receive any further acknowledgement. Just the continued labored breaths, which he supposed was better than nothing, and so he left.
Eela entered the little hut with grace and quiet. The poor little Meowler wasn't doing very well. Her brow furrowed with concern, but she offered the creature a little smile. Grieving it wasn't going to help anyone.
Having been unable to bring herself to harm another creature, Eela had stuffed the little cushion she carried with trimmings of her own feathers. It was a simple square with a glass bead hanging from a ribbon at every corner. Trying to sew the fabric fabric into a circle had proved too difficult for the inexperienced blobling. Still, it was soft and comfortable. Twilly had approved it herself, and even Eela had laid her head on it for some time, trying to test the spring and durability of it. Did it form around the face? Was it too firm for a Meowler to truly rest without getting a crick? It did, and it wasn't. Eela slipped a gentle hand under the frail creature's chin and lifted it to place the cushion there, then gently laid its head back down. Reese surely looked comfy now, with all of its blankets, and now a soft place to rest its head. Eela sighed and smiled softly. She tenderly stroked the Meowler's head.
"Damazi will be able to heal you. I know she will," the blobling said, "Until she comes back, we'll be here for you." She leaned in to give the Meowler a little kiss before she had to rise and go back to work.
