Damazi's Meowler pens had been Eela's first stop, but it had not been the true destination of her day's errand. Ichorfish were merely more common than the fare she had truly been after. She adored Meowlers, but something in her wanted so desperately to see the Vision outside of the Marble City again. Eela wasn't sure if she would be recognized. Though her color and her eyes were the same, she and grown longer limbs and horns... and hooves. Eela looked down and lifted a leg. She had grown hooves, hadn't she? It hadn't been long after the last time she had brought Themisfish to Reinala. Had she had proper flesh, Eela might have blushed.
Upon arriving at the City, Eela offered the Gem-eard Vision a soft bow and a few gentle words. She set the bucket of wriggling, glimmering eels down to be seen. There were eight in all. Their beauty made Eela want to see her god, but Reinala herself was more stunning than--
"I've brought some more for you. I caught them over the past few days." Only then did it strike her that Reinala had called Themis 'mother.' Was she truly born of gods? Eela was struck silent and wide-eyed for a moment. It would make sense, wouldn't it? That a god would create something so beautiful. The blobling caught herself in her frozen position and stood up embarrassedly. "I'll bring more, if I find them. I don't-- I don't want them being eaten either."
The Themisfish crossed hands, and Eela offered one more little bow before turning to walk away. Her walking became embarrassed jogging before long, and there was an odd sort of sour-sweet feeling in the core of her being. She had made a right fool of herself, and to a Godborn nonetheless! Oh, she had to go cool down somewhere.
