01/54/24 Hey there!
It's May now!
... buuuut we are taking a break to catch up on everything. There's still a DIY Evo Phase if you wanna progress your bloblings further in their evo journey, but besides that we're on pause. Wish us luck!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
Aurora blinked open her eyes idly, a familiar warmth and shine welcoming her wake. Bloblings didn’t need sleep, but it was something she had recently decided to experiment with. Air quotes around recently. Due to the lack of needing sleep and time, she could have slept for who knows how long. This did not phase the blobling, however, as Aurora fully came to her senses at a slight hum of a chromilla she had decided to rest under. The blobling rolled to get a better view of the colorful, flowering tree. “I do not know how long you have sheltered me, but thank you.” She whispered, feeling a tad bit silly with herself. Could it even hear her? Nonetheless, the blobling ventured off with a slight combo of rolling and bouncing.
After some time, the blobling took shelter under another large chromillia. The sands seemed plain, and she’d yet to find another blobling along her journeys. To no matter though, as perhaps a solo story seems more heroic than a team..
Aurora tried to think of what happened durning her rolling and bouncing. Perhaps something somewhat dramatic she could slightly twist into a thrilling story if she did come across somebody she could communicate with.
Sand.. Sand.. Chromillias.. The smiling sands suddenly seemed rather boring.
Or perhaps not! Even if just for a moment, the scared sensation of a drop with the random holes was better than staring at sand for moments on end. And who could ignore the Prismermines? Those definitely keep you on your t- er, wits. Aurora didn’t exactly have legs, feet, or toes yet.. Perhaps those could turn into a nice story..
... A nice story was not what Aurora had in mind. A nice story was entertaining but believable. The slight misadventures she had seemed to be common, or, for her at least. Maybe she was just unlucky.
She tried many “drafts” of her story, though many started, and ended differently. When she thought about slightly twisting her story, she meant a little. Add a little spice. It just had to be believable.
Believable was an odd word for a world so diverse. But Aurora didn’t happen to get a taste for that yet. She had barely met anybody.
After pondering, editing, and telling her flopped stories to the flowering tree she rested under, Aurora made a final conclusion.
She had to actually experience something interesting. Something new and exciting. The shimmering sands didn’t quite scream that to her.
And so with some jiggling, bouncing, and rolling, the blobling took off to find.. something.
.. Well she found.. something. After a long travel, and a coupe of uninteresting prismermines, she’d arrived to a small hole in the ground. Stuck. How heroic.
Getting out would be easy, if she had arms, legs.. anything, really. She was however, still a round, basic blobling. Or that was her appearance, anyways. She couldn’t hover out either, the hole was too deep. She now had two options. Wait for somebody to come along, or spend a lot of time experimenting.
Considering her “quest” for a better story, she chose the latter. She wanted to seem brave, not cowardly in the eyes of others. What’s the worse that could happen?
Wiggle, jump. Wiggle, jump. This took a while to figure out, but Aurora was sure she had it now. Wiggle, jump. Wiggle, jump. She tried to shake some of the silky sand loose within the tight hole, and but jumping allowing some of that to slide underneath her. Not only did the hole loosen up, it allowed it to fill up as well, bringing her closer to freedom. It was tedious, though. Some of the wiggles only knocked mere grains loose. But, progress was progress, nonetheless. Wiggle, jump, wiggle... With the final jump she was able to just peak out, meaning now she could probably hover out with some strain. And that she did. Aurora swiftly looked back with a mix feeling of disgust and pride. She would have to be more careful to avoid these situations..
Aurora kept rolling. There was no way that all there is here would be sand, right? Sooner or later something would have to change.. She snapped out of her thoughts at a sudden Prismermine jumping out, causing Aurora to roll back in alarm. Clearly, this made the Prismermine happy as it slid back into the sand, probably waiting for the next unsuspecting blobling to tumble along. Aurora made a slight, irritated noise as she tumbled along again. She needed to find something different. ~ It was a bit later when she first noticed a slight change. Sure, maybe not the most dramatic, but after rolling along a place as boring as this.. it was excitingly easy to notice the slight transition in the humidity and furthermore, the dark clouds were a dead giveaway. It wasn’t the most.. friendliest of scenes, but it would have to do. With that though, Aurora bounced carefully into the new landscape.
