Why was he even doing this?
Usurper rolled around the Smiley Sands, stopping at every Bleeding Heart Tree he could find. Yume- Presumably Eris’s daughter- was requesting Galanthillias. Easy enough. Galanthillias were around almost every Bleeding Heart he could find. He grabbed every one he could in sight, and shoved them in a makeshift bag that looked ready to rip at any time. Usurper wasn’t the artsy type, that was certain.
He wanted to get on Eris’s good side. He was never going to worship him, of course, but perhaps the power of a god would help show off his true power, and that he was fit to rule in at least one of the Gods’ eyes. Eris seemed like his best bet. He had another, internal part to this plan now. He wasn’t the only one wanting Eris to notice him.
He had told Tsarina to stay home so that he could think to himself without her talking all of the goddamn time, but it felt too quiet without her around. Tsarina was strangely attached to Eris. She wanted everything Eris made. She had an Erisfish some other blobling had given her in a tank that Corvid (of all the motherfucking people…) gave her, and she paid it so much attention. Recently, though, she seemed saddened. He wasn’t sure why, nor was he going to ask. From what he knew, she and Cyano were still talking, and he was still going to great lengths to make her happy. And yet, she wasn’t. He couldn’t help but feel as if something else, out of his and/or her control, had happened. What could be getting his dear princess down, though? Whatever it was, he was ready to eliminate it.
Usurper stopped at a different Bleeding Heart Tree. This one didn’t have Galanthillias under it. He grabbed one of its fruits and put it in his bag, for Tsarina. This was gonna be hell to deal with… Until the second effect finally kicked in. He started rolling back to the Tar Pits, quite satisfied with himself.
