There was nothing, and then suddenly, something. Suddenly there was a charcoal grey blob resting amidst the sand, being warmed by the sun's rays. Then, just as suddenly as the blob came to be, so to did it's thoughts. Thoughts that came too fast and quickly became overwhelming.
'Where am I? What am I? How did I get here? Why does this feel so familiar? Why does this also feel so new? Who am I? How did I come to be? I swear just moments ago I didn't even exist so how....'The new little blobling's mind was reeling with so many questions, even as they cracked open their blue eyes to take in the world around them.
Immediately, they screwed their eyes shut once more, the harsh rays of light proving to be too much for their gaze just yet. However, they had managed to glimpse the sandy world around them for just a second before closing their eyes again, and felt compelled to try again. They had to see more, so they kept on trying to fight against the sun's light until eventually, they were able to keep their blue eyes open and get a proper look at everything.
They had formed in a land warm and red, with a gritty substance surrounding them on all sides it seemed. It was awe-inspiring, striking at something within the blobling's core, instilling them with a desire to move, explore their home and learn all that they could from it.
Filled with determination, the new little blob began to try to manipulate their round form in the hopes of finding some way of moving their body. After several moments of struggling and eventually taking to rocking back and forth, they eventually rocked too hard to one side, sending themself rolling off a good distance from where they had been created and causing them to collide with something, though what they was they were too dizzy to see just yet.
