Hiya! I've noticed recently that some people haven't been posting in accordance with the Site Rules, which state that each player must write at least one paragraph per in character post.
I've gone ahead and changed the Rules to say that a 'paragraph' is defined as at least 100 words, which will now be enforced site-wide when this announcement goes live. Players will not have Coins earned from posts using fewer than 100 words from before this change removed, but from this point forward, players found to be regularly exploiting this rule will have the Coins received from rule-breaking posts removed and will receive a warning. Players found to be continually breaking this new rule will be temporarily banned.
Note that this only counts for in character posts. Out of character posts can be made as normal. :3
I ask for at least 100 words per post because role play is a collaborative art, and players should provide their partners with something they can respond to, which is very difficult to do with anything less than that. Making longer posts will also help players to think as their blobling and develop their character more, along with heaps of other benefits!
If you're struggling to lengthen your posts to the required word count, here are some tips.
1.) Try thinking about, and writing down, what your blobling is thinking! Their thoughts might be very different from your own, so it's interesting to write them down physically and see how they come out.
2.) Try thinking about what your blobling is feeling at the moment. Write it down! Maybe they're feeling hungry, and it's odd that they're hungry because they could've sworn that the Goddess told them that they didn't need to eat, but they could really go for a sweet food right now...
3.) Think of what your blobling is seeing, hearing, tasting and smelling. Use their reactions to those things to give your blobling more to say and do, as well!
4.) Use adjectives. Instead of saying your blobling is talking, perhaps say that they're talking excitedly! Then, you can go on to say why they're excited and give even more insight into who your blobling is as a person.
There are hundreds of ways to write compelling posts, and they don't all necessarily relate to word count, either. :3 Try to find a happy medium between longer posts and incorporating interesting happenings into each of your replies, and I'm sure you'll be meeting and exceeding the requirements in no time. <3
