The swamp lying in front of Raggy was... swampy. That was a perfect description of it - in fact, someone could say that with all it's wetness, murkiness and general feel of unpleasantness, it was a perfect example of how a proper swamp should be. That, however, would be like saying that nightstand you stubbed your toe on for n-th time was doing it's job - probably truthful, but not helping much.
One thing Raggy loves was exploring. One thing Raggy definitely didn't love was getting hungry. And wet. And tired. And without place to rest. Actually, there was several things Raggy hated, all neatly gathered into this swamp. Still, undaunted, he set forth to make something for starters.
Something... like a house. Guildhouse - while the half-remember terms flashed through Raggy's mind, his more astute eyes made an important observation: the wood was floating in the water. If a big, heavy log can float on water as easily as a leaf, it surely can support weight of small Blobling, right? So - Raggy's mind keep working - if we tie a bunch of those logs together... they can support even bigger things! Like more Bloblings! And maybe even house for them! As he made this conclusion, Raggy could swear that a small, yellow Blobling flashes above his head for a moment.
That's to say, there was still a problem - a lack of opposable thumbs, or to be more precise any sort of appendage the thumbs could be attached to. Raggy hung his head for a moment (which for Blobling usually involves just staring down) before coming up with another idea: if one Blobling catches the end of the rope on one side, and second on the other...
"Yay teamwork!" - Raggy shouted happily and jump into the air, and then dig himself up from marshy ground he accidentally sunk into
He started looking for a friends, to make his idea a reality....
