Constructing a cookery

Starkly contrasted amongst all of the swamp's muted colors, a round, white form named Plight lurked. Plight had not been on Terrea very long. It had only recently just emerged...or came into existence, or whatever you wanted to call it. Anyway, Plight's short existence had so far consisted of them having investigated everything it came across by eating it. So far it had shoveled some sand in its mouth, then some swamp water, and then some more sand. And as one can imagine, all of those things didn't taste so great.

So there Plight was in the swamp, doing blob things, when a loud voice caught its attention. Plight pressed into the ground, which only really just made it's round -shape slightly flatter, and inched its way closer to the noise's source, peering up to see another blobling on top of those odd, blackened trees. And of course, Plight found it could understand the other blobling's words. 

Helping out really sounded like a bother, but it was bribed with the words 'delicious things' and 'reward'. So Plight was sold. Besides, a colorful, moving, and speaking blob was so much more interesting than sand or water or trees. So Plight didn't say anything, but instead slid closer and closer, and nodded affirmatively a couple times to show that it would be participating.

The new blobling had appendages and wings. Misty was amazed to say the least as this blobling could easily carry the rocks they dug up. Her amazement showed on her eyes in the form of glittering and slight trembling wiith anticipation. She wondered if she could ever gain those features. She wasn't sure about flying since she could still float and those wings looked like they would make rolling around and digging really troublesome. Regardless of how uncomfortable the wings looked she spoke with enthusiasm. "I always have room for more bloblings. More bloblings are always welcome to help." barely containing her happiness. She was also somewhat impressed by the creature as such a creature could easily dig up sand far better than them but it seemed a bit dull. Like it would do what it was told but it couldn't really think for itself beyond simple stuff.

Her gaze drifted to Plight. "We are going to be starting right away. " She paused for a second as she had intended to refer to the winged but realized she didn't know his name. She turned to the winged one. "While rest of us dig things you should carry the stones we dig up here so that they don't sink in the sand." With that she turned to all of her workers that had chosen to follow her lead in this great endeavor. "Everyone follow my lead as we dig. I am an expert at digging so i will show rest of you the best method to dig except sire. I think he will dig far better than us due to his size." With that she started to bounce towards the desert with great vigor feeling that they could finish this task within a day or even less.

Plight followed suit behind the others. It saw some smaller pebbles here and there, but all of the bigger rocks must be under the sand. When they got to the digging site, the winged one and it's pet-thing were the first to start working, with the tar-like creature being able to move the rocks pretty efficiently. Plight watched them for a second, even a little impressed, before looking back over at Misty. "Sooo you said you had a special method for digging? We don't really have...limbs, or anything, so how do we do it?" It asked her, remembering what she had said earlier about teaching them. Plight normally wouldn't be one to ask for help, but it wanted to get the job over with in the quickest and easiest method possible. After all, it would be better to work smarter, not harder than it had to.

Misty gave a look to the pile of the rocks they had gathered. After a minute of consideration she decided that it was barely enough. Now they could actually start the constructing. They were still going to need bleeding heart fruits and Chromillia leaves but that was going ot be an easy task to do so she decided to explain her plan which she thought to be a genius one. Turning to the two bloblings she said:"We have enough rocks. Now we will make a tall narrow tower and a wide short one around it. Then we shall place Chromillia leaves on top and make this long pipe that will be used to transfer water to the narrow tall tower. Then we will heat it from below so the water will hit the leaves and drow to the wide one which we will use to cook. We will also have clean water since the bad part will be left at the narrow tower. Also we will need bleeding heart fruits for this to stick things. I'll fetch them though"

She then decided to distribute the tasks. She looked at the winged blobling first. "You and him should handle the setting the stones to their places. I'll get bleeding heart fruits to you which each layer." Being somewhat confident in her gathering abilities. She then turned to the other blobling. "You should find the leaves and bring them here. Around eight of them should be enough. Once everything is done we will cook our first meal!" With the task distribution complete she bounced towards the bleeding heart trees and started gathering fruits which involved climbing a tree and grabbing a fruit causing it to fall due to the combined weight and then floating at the last second before carrying it to the building site.

Plight was pleased to hear that they were done gathering the stones, and that they could proceed to the next stage of their plan. The other blobling described what was going be done next, and what they were making. It was a bit difficult for Plight to envision what the finished product would look like, but it figured it would just do the things that were asked of it. So as was assigned, the white blobling obediently set out to fetch the chromillia leaves.

To find the trees Plight just needed to go back to the sandy area, because it had spotted a few in the distance earlier. It headed that way, and sure enough there was the family of trees awaiting it. They seemed to brighten up a bit when Plight approached. The blobling went around the trees and picked up the leaves that were on the ground here-and-there. There were a few fallen leaves that had been salvaged, but it was not enough. Plight remembered it needed eight of them in total.

So after laying out the gathered leaves in a pile, Plight went up to the nearest chromillia and pulled off one of the big leaf-petals from their stem. "Oh, don't look at me like that. It's not that bad." Muttered Plight to the plant. The way the chromillias looked at Plight gave it a guilty conscience."See? You have plenty of petals left" But the plants still looked sad. Plight sighed. Why couldn't they be like the bleeding heart trees? Those didn't care in the slightest if you took their fruit. Plight hurriedly went around to the other chromillias in the area and collected one or two petals from each plant, and in the end of it Plight had a decently-sized pile of eight.

As Plight began to head back, it may have been it's imagination, but the chromillia trees did seem a bit duller than before. Plight pretended not to notice, and carefully took the edges of the leaves into its smol mouth and slowly began to drag them. The leaves made a trail through the sand, all the way back to where the cookery was being built. "I brought the leaves." It announced. when it got there, and laid them out onto the ground.
