Ampersand isn't really one for the whole violence and combat and blood sport thing. But that isn't going to stop them from trying to make friends with every blobling they can -- even the fighting ones!
Tonumber, their quest for omnifriendship entails giving one Parabellum a gift. Ampersand hasn't interacted much with Parabellum, but their resemblance to a Meowler struck them the first time they saw them. From that first day, Ampersand decided they wanted to be friends with Parabellum, and maybe let them be a teacher for expanding horizons.
Well, that last part is a bit of a stretch -- Ampersand really doesn't see themself enjoying violence in any context. But they can certainly come to appreciate the art from the sidelines!
Because that's what friends do.
