Artemis broke into a trot when she saw the half finished wall. She had heard that this place had been attacked recently and she was here to lend a hand. They should welcome her organization skills and she should be able to whip up any of their help so that the wall will be complete in no time.
But when she finally found the blob in charge, who's name was B, they didn't want their help. Well they did. But not on the wall. Oh no they wanted help with house decorations! House Decorations!
She looked down her nose at the green blob below her. This blob had sprouted sharp pointy things all over its body. It had no legs but did sport one arm and hand.
"I want green stuff in my house. A green bed, and a green chair and a green...." Artemis was beginning to tire of this little blobs voice, demanding what it wanted.
"Yes, Yes, All green." She finally interrupted.
She walked over to the door, or the open spot in the building, and then stopped. The green blob had not moved and looked like was not moving any time soon. Artemis narrowed her eyes. She was not going to do all the work. If the blob wanted to decorate its house then it would have to come and help.
"Well, What are you waiting for!" she snapped. "Move! I am not your servant! If you want your stuff you will have to come get it! Now Move!"
The blob jumped, but after a rather short a mount of time the blob glided across the floor and followed her out the door.
It took quite a few numbers to reach Onyx city. They had actually made great timing all thanks to her and making them march.
"Now, There is a friend here who has trained her Aurasils to weave cloth. We could get some to make your chair and bed. And she may even know where to get some Wheeple fluff for the stuffing.
Artemis guided the green blob to her friends house and after talking to her they were able to gather enough silk fabric to make a large pillow for the bed and a smaller one for a chair.
Celeste also told Artemis where she had seen some Wheeples last. And if they were lucky they would still be there.
As Artemis and the green blob passed through the swamps they stopped at a button bush and grabbed some dark green buttons and thread and needles. And then they were off again, heading toward the mountain.
Soon they came upon the small herd of Wheeples. Artemis was able to corner one and they started de-stuffing. The crying was getting on her nerves so she started pulling out bigger chunks. But soon they had enough. They stuffed the stuffing in their carrying pouch and started making their way back to the blobs home.
After a lot more numbers they made it back to the blobs home. The wall looked almost the same as when she had left. Hopefully with the blobs now having decorations in their home they would be able to work more diligently on the wall and get it done.
Artemis and the blob emptied out their carrying sack. The silk fabric and the buttons and stuffing all fell to the ground in a great big heap. It took them awhile to find the needles.
"aren't you going to help? I, I don't know how to put one of these together? And, and I only have one arm!" The blob said. Artemis could hear the tears that must be forming in the blobs eyes.
Maybe she wasn't quite done. "Alright, I will help. Lets get all this organized. Here," She handed the needles to the blob. " you hold these.'
Soon she had all the material in piles and they were ready to go. She took one of the needles and with the blobs help got the two pillows sewn up. The stuffing in and the buttons on.
The green blob grinned up at Artemis when it saw the finished pillows. "Thank you!"
Artemis gave a quick nod. "your welcome." she said before she left the house.
Now to go see if she could help with that wall!
