Bloblings have noticed mysterious, gooey bloblings popping up in the world. Many bloblings are weary of them because of their resemblance to the tar from the tar pits, which have been known to eat bloblings for something called 'breakfast'.
01/09/23 Hey there!

hope looked to the front where the swarm of cultist blobs were. seeing the cloaks she simply had to pick one up and wear it, it was part of the adventure after all. she bounced up and down looking for where the cloaks were and when she had found them she turned to Altum.
"ah gatta get one of these there so kool!, you wanna come up and get one with mey?" she paused thinking of how cool the cloaks were looking on other that came for the tour, many of them were covered in more than one set of LEG, or odd ones at the least. and as they adorned the hooded fluffy cloth it some how morphed to fit each one of their unique looks.
"if you wanna ah can grab you one while ah'm up there gettin mine if ya'd rather not get mixed up in the crowd?" she offered not wanting to make her new friend feel pressured into doing anything, but at the same time not wanting either of them to miss out on anything interesting.
This. Now this is how you host a tour. It already seems like it's Cooler than Reinala's tour. Look at this! Outfits! Soma gratefully stretches out his hands for them, and then immediately dons the FLUFFY coat. One coat obtained!
He has to, rather unfortunately, forgo the stockings. They interfere too much with his movement, even if he's not gonna fly! Because of his back accessories, the coat sizes itself to a massive size, so it falls around his back like a great hunched creature.
Because he doesn't have to slip on the leggings, he finally has enough time to go up and chat with Yume.
"Yume! How are you doing? There's so much happening down here and a LOT of it looks like it's Eris' work, which is real cool! Do you have a lot of fun down here?"
Star looked around to see if she could find Evrah and Kip but in doing so she noticed the rather large black Lion head. She noticed the many eyes and started to count them but soon had to stop as pain started to grow inside her head. She then noticed the knot of blobs who were all trying on these really cool costumes. She bounded over and snagged one. She tried it on. The lion mane was alright but she wasn't sure about all the eyes. And the purple stockings just did not work for her. So she took it off. And then wondered over to look more closely at the lion head.

Altum saw several noses crinkle in his direction. Surely he didn't smell bad, this was quite normal if you hung around a smuck in the Tar Pits daily. He didn't care anyway since he had more time to look around.
He listened to Yume's explanation of the cultists. 'They were there with them after the trial? How did they get there if no one knew that this place existed? I would have seen an entrance.'
Altum heard Hope offer him an outfit. Although he didn't care that he smelled, he thought that the cloak would mask it a bit for the sake of others. "Thank you kindly, I would like one please." He put the cloak and stockings on. It covered most of his eyes, and entirely covered his head frill. It was like he was wearing a blindfold. He lifted his wings and caused the cloak to lift a little, allowing him to see a bit more, like looking out from under a blanket.
Tolerating Star and Kip's giggling fits at his expense, Evrah's pride endured. Because it was them and not some stranger- most of the other blobs seemed more preoccupied by their own tar covered selves anyway- it may have even slightly improved the snake blob's internal seething. Though he'd be saving those words just in case. Kip's implication, at the very least, did. Evrah pretended to consider the offer as Star darted off ahead and as they approached a stall he finally nodded. "Yes, I suppose that's the least you owe me to make up for your insolence. I will allow it." The tar, even if it reduced his portrayal of dignity, at least helped cover the smirk he was having trouble suppressing.
Evrah let himself into the stall first inspecting the design and mechanism as Kip followed him in. Deeming the aesthetic worthy enough he gave the button an experimental press and only flinched a little at the responding spray of water. Pulling out one of the little lumps from it's cubby he held it under the water. The light that played off of it's surface was interesting but as the run off seemed to cut through the tar that had clung stubbornly to his paw he was impressed. More than satisfied with his inspection he turned back to Kip who seemed to be taking in the whole thing like Evrah had just done.
Making himself comfortable Evrah offered the sparkling bar to Kip. "Well..." He drawled with a grin tar couldn't hide, "I'll leave it to you then. Take good care of me and I might graciously forgive you."
The two left their stall a little later than everyone else had. Evrah, now very clean, was visibly in a much better mood. The black towel was still draped over his fluffy purple mane and he showed no signs of relinquishing it as the duo ambled back to the group. Bumping into Kip a few times on the way, it seemed a straight line was a bit of a challenge for them at the moment and half way there Evrah seemed to give up and just lean into Kip. The two safely made it to the rest of the group and close to Star.
Evrah had missed the actual offer, but as some other blobs went and collected an outfit it became clear enough that they were for the taking. Grabbing one for himself Evrah didn't put it on. Instead he flung it over his back and adjusted his gift bag... which was perhaps suspiciously a little more 'filled' than before the shower. He wasn't sure he'd wear the outfit, but it was now his and that's what was important.

Kali went over and picked up one of the outfits looking it over incredulously. She supposed she may as well take one but she wasn't going to put it on anytime soon. The fabric would cover too much, and she quite enjoyed having more freedom to move and fight. Plus, she wasn't eager to cover up her sparkly wings. So she slung it over her shoulder and glanced around the group again. She had to admit it was nice being around a familiar face, especially in a place as unpredictable as this. So when she caught a glimpse of green in her peripheral vision she headed over in their general direction.
admiral Yume notices you approaching and regards you as you float on over, midnight eyes glittering with wonder. "Hioyo. It's a lot of Daddy's work, yeah - and I pretty much have fun... I dunno, it's c o m p l i c a t e d. I used to have fun with him but since the Trial I've had more f u n without him. Do I have fun anymore? Anyway, that's lame to talk about. What does someblobby who looks like you do for fun?" When she emphasizes 'you', her voice gets higher.
After you do or do not put on the outfit, the enormous door you're all crowded in front of slides open a tiny bit more.
A figure not dressed in a Cultist Outfit appears, their gait wide and springy, but as soon as they see you and the other bloblings they deflate. "Oh. Is the Tour thing now? I thought we had another few Numbers before... they got here."
The figure appears to be a blobling, but considering how blobs can look like anything and a lot of the flora and fauna are starting to look blobling-like... it's kinda hard to tell what this person is. Perhaps they're a sentient plant or a new kind of Chaos fauna Eris has created and has been keeping to himself. They stand on two legs, with hair that splits into two braids and eyes that have a two different sets of dots in them. Their eyes kinda resemble the buttonbush's buttons, only fueling the idea that they could be a plant.
Blue and orange patches are sprinkled along their skin, and they have an overall sort of patchy appearance, as if they've been sewn together.
"Well, you were wrong. They're here now, and they're staying until they've had their fill of Daddy's Temple. oyo Everyblobby say hi to Mallory. She's my friend and I want you to be nice to her, especially since she's not going to be nice to you."
Mallory's mouth is drawn into a line, and she takes a few steps closer to Yume, slipping an arm around hers. Yume allows it to happen.
"Oookay... there are so many places here that I dunno where to begin. I've been trying to think of where I want to start for a while now, but eventually I just figured I'd let you choose... soooo..."
Yume approaches the giant Eris head on the wall, dragging Mallory along with her. "I'm gonna go through all the options kind of fast, so open your bunny ears real wide and listen hard."
"You're the only one with bunny ears," Mallory whispers, halfway between correction and affection.
"I'm sure there are other blobbies with bunny ears in here somewhere. oyo"
"Not any who matter."
Yume pokes the space where a nose would be on Mallory, leaving a gooey speck there. "We're supposed to be paying attention to the blobbies, Mal."
Mallory's face falls and she looks towards the crowd, scanning it. "Fine... you do know how much I like games... oh, I know!" Her sour expression leaves as soon as she starts thinking of games. "How about this - there's a mysteeeeerious mechanism somewhere in this room that switches that big red eye door for a different door if you use it. Let's see if you dummies can find it so we can get on with the Tour!"
It seems you're being asked a question. How does one make the door go?
The shower was much needed after what had just happened. The trip to get here wasn't pleasant in the slightest to the cube. Washing off the gunk was quite satisfying and fascinating however. It almost made Vioid dread the return trip. For a single heart beat, he considered to just stay within the safety of the shower.
Of course, there were much more interesting things to happen and Vioid was not about to miss any of it. With one wistful look at the colorful bar (it was most certainly his favorite part about the shower,) Vioid turned and hopped out and stopped to take in the sights before him.
Vioid studied the cultists and the clothes that were offered to the crowd. He wasn’t really sure if such a thing was for him (or in his style really and those fishnet leggings were more of a disservice than anything,) but he saw no harm in wearing the outfit for the duration of the tour. It was for the immersive experience or something along those lines. He couldn’t help but feel like that wasn’t the right term, but didn’t bother to think too much on the matter.
By the time the cube had finished putting on the outfit (he himself wasn’t quite sure how he managed to fit the leggings, but they were on,) someone else had come through the door. A friend of Yume’s apparently. This blobling, if Vioid could even call them that, didn’t seem to be the friendliest from the way they were addressing everyone as if they were annoyed by them being here.
After listening to what Mallory had to say, Vioid took the time to look around the large room. As far as he could tell, there wasn’t much here save for the door and large maned feline. Staring at the eyes made his own strain and decided to avoid looking directly at them. This wasn’t exactly easy with there being so many to begin with. His eyes eventually landed on the silver ring that studded it’s nose. It seemed a little obvious that interacting with this would affect the door. At least, that was his assumption. To test this theory, the cube cleared his throat (the first sound he’s ever made since waking up on Terrea) in hopes to get another blobling’s or maybe even Yume’s attention and stared intently at the nose piercing in order to get his message across to whomever was looking at him. This had to be it right?

hope wasn't a chaos blob so she wasn't quiet sure wat kind of a trigger eris would have set to open a door like this one. she did have some thoughts, mostly surounding the head perched on the wall. ideas like feeding it a particular number of fish, for what ever reason 69 was the number that kept coming up, or possibly poking the nose of the creature while making a quick sudden sound BOOP maybe. if the head was the trigger could they possibly just annoy it till it gives up and lets them through. she turned to Altum looking for guidance and some blob to brain storm with "well ah cant say fer serten if anything ah gotll do much but maybe its something with the head? what r yer thoughts?"
Star looked up at the great lions head above her and then back down at the door. How does one change a door? She felt around the door to see if maybe there was a switch that needed to be pushed or a lever that needed to be pulled.
Soon she heard a clearing of a throat. She turned and notice a red blob. At least she assumed it was a blob. Only she had never seen a blob so.... Square looking. And it was staring at the ring in the nose. Hmmm Maybe.
She reached up as far as she could but she could not quite touch the ring.
She sat down on her hunches and stared at it. Maybe if she jumped she could get it.
She wriggled her hindquarters and then sprung upwards using the power of her back legs to fling her body upwards. She made a grab at the ring. Her paw caught it and she ended up hanging from it.
"Is this what you meant?" She called out loudly to the square blob below her.

The new blobling named Mallory didn't strike Altum as the most...friendly. Quite the opposite of Yume actually. They seem to take an interest in games as far as he could tell. That and seeing Yume are the only things they don't look sour about.
He knew the insult wasn't directly to him, but of course it wasn't super comforting to hear. If the tour didn't find any ideas, they'd just be proving their point.Altum heard Hope's idea. "I agree, I'd certainly assume that the head has the answer. It takes up most of the room."
He saw the square blob stare intently at the nose ring on the lion head as well as a blue blobling jumping at it. He pointed with his tail. "That would likely be the best option." He then pointed at the red eyes on his cloak. "Another could perhaps include these outfits."
Me? Soma tilts his head, confused at Yume's address. Why did she say you like that? Oooh, does she mean... Ah, Soma sees. "Oh! Yeah, I do try flying a lot! There's a lot to test for flying. I like flying, it's fun, but the testing is fun. There's so many ways to fly. Yggdra flies with wings, and did you know you can fly with a big empty Kissfish and a fire under it? It takes some time, and I don't know why, but it's really interesting. You just go up and stay there! I uh... it's still somewhere in Onyxia.. I think it got caught on something. I've just gotta craft and experiment more."
Soma waves his hands. "It's just... going real fast that makes flying fun. I think it'd be fun to run really fast too, but right now how I look isn't so great about that. There's a lot of ways to go fast, and I think they all have to do with... mixing stuff! So I like mixing stuff. There's so many cool things in here. Your daddy's really smart to think of all of these. But you say you've found MORE fun elsewhere? Then I bet you're really smart, too!"
Soma's eyes shine at that. "I'm good at making stuff, but I think you're better at the mixing stuff. You've just got so much to work with here! There's a lot more working stuff here than up there!"
Mallory then comes into view, and Yume is left to walk away. Soma nods firmly at Mallory, giving two thumbs up after a brief moment of examination. Her aesthetic is pretty great! A faint "Thanks for the heads-up!" can be heard from him, and then he's off to examine the room.
He goes up to the big bull head first, and then looks around for any of its features placed elsewhere in the room. If anything's matching, then that's a clue. Next, he goes around for interesting objects, and then begins to poke around at the walls (and ceiling) for hidden switches.
Kali let out a long drawn-out "hmm," when she listened to what was being asked of them and brought one of her hands to her mouth in thought. She felt utterly neutral when it came to Mallory and was used to people disliking her, so she never even took note of the wording Mallory used. Both her chest and normal eyes scanned the room again looking for anything of note. The only thing that stood out was the nose ring, which already had a blobling dangling off of it. After squinting for a moment, Kali realized it was Star who was the one who leaped up to it. So she decided it wouldn't hurt to get a closer look, and maybe lend a hand.
Kali's wings stretched open and she sprung into the air above the other bloblings her cloud of stars trailing closely behind her. She hovered in front of the head and reached one of her arms out offering it to Star, "As comfortable as you seem, would you like a little help not dangling? If its not too much trouble for ya, I'd quite like to see if it has something to do with the door." With that, she gathered Star up into one of her arms, which was easy considering the size difference. While she held Star her cloud moved back and forth between swirling around Kali's feet and moving around Star like some sort of light show.
Kali gave the rest of the head a quick glance, not letting her eyes linger anywhere for too long. Then, using her other free hand, she tried carefully tugging on the nose ring, flipping it, and knocking it against the head to see if any of that did anything.
You manage to, for one reason or another, grab on to the door knocker and click it against the lion head's chin. As soon as you do so, a the sound of air rushing from a tight space assaults you; it sounds like an Old World whoopee cushion, but you probs wouldn't remember that unless you were a very special type of blobby. The floor beneath you begins to tremble. The sound of smooth stone on smooth stone fills the room and it's hard to pinpoint exactly what is moving and how, but one obvious thing within the room changes; what was formerly a red door with an eye on it is now a green door with a human foot on it, toenails and all. As the minuscule tremor begins, several bloblings jump into the air and flap their wings, and others hover off of the floor with fear in their eyes; it's clear to them now that this Temple isn't afraid to cause them bodily harm. Several topple over, landing on their booty or whatever's closest, and a select few are stony faced and calm, taking things as they come. A fair few amused, and even amazed. The cultists are used to the sensation and their faces don't even twitch when faced with what could be described as a micro-earthquake.
Mallory's shoulders sag, as if she was expecting you to fail. "Weeeeell... beginner's luck, I guess."
Yume giggles. "Is there a such thing as beginner's luck for this kind of thing? Oh, and what's beginner's luck? oyo"
Curi has been silent, for the most part, but claps heartily at your success. "Hellaaaaa~! You got it right, you got it right! And you really showed that meanie. See? Ichor's creations are smart and adaptable little balls of flesh and goo! There's lots to like about them." She seems to be directing her words at Mallory, who dramatically huffs. Her pigtails wilt and hang limply behind her.
"This door leads to the Greenhouse," offers one of the cultists. "It is not the best place for the singychanty, but it would do."
Yume groans. "We're not doing the singychanty." She unhooks herself from Mallory and moves over to the lion head, taking the place of whoever got the right answer. She reaches her gooey hand out and grasps the silver piercing. "We're doing a Tour."
Curi joins her by the big Eris head, fingers poised gleefully against her cheeks and jaw. "We should tell them about all the rooms here!"
"oyo Okay! So let's start with the green door room - it's something called a greenhouse, which is really lame because Daddy made all the lighting in there red... anyway, there are these foot plants there that make bloblings get really still when they touch it or stay around it for too long. It's a paralytic or something? I think Daddy used that word. Anyway, Daddy keeps it in here because he says it could be really dangerous in the wrong blobby hands... oyo Like, it's really potent."
"And fun for playtime," Mallory adds. She raises her non-existent eyebrows and then remembers she's in a bad mood and goes back to that.
"It's also got some nommynoms in it. It's like... a place to grow plants and eat them, so there are benches and stuff."
Yume, driven by Curi's excitement, starts getting amped up and just clanks on to the next door. It's black and it has a vase of some kind on it, with what looks to be a lightning bolt through it. "This is the Chaos Room! Literally. Really. There's a bunch of breakable stuff in there that you can just... break, and destroy, and unbuild. Blocks on top of blocks that you can play weird games with, like the 'keep removing blocks until everything topples' game."
Mallory lights up, her braids fanning out slightly. "My favourite room."
Before Curi has a chance to comment, Yume's already moving to the next door. This one is pink, with a cone-shaped hat that resembles a Ribbin. "This door leads to the party room. oyo It's for whenever we need to hold parties. Pink is for parties. oyo!"
Curi reaches in and grabs the silver piercing, switching to a new door. It has a big chair on it, and the door itself is a deep, royal purple. "Throne room!"
Yume clacks it down again. A deep navy door with a maze-like set of lines appears. "The get lost tunnels!"
A blobling from the crowd pipes up, sticking their hand into the air. "Ummm... excuse me? When are we going to be able to give our presents? I know you're really caught up in telling us that this place has lots to do and all, but my arms are getting tired and I'm starting to feel queasy from all the shaking the room is doing."
Both Yume and Curi flush. "Oh."
Ichor's Godborn steps away from the piercing. "You're right. Sorry about that... I think we got carried away. Yume, why don't we actually show them the next room?"
The gooey bun gives a silent nod - as if they're ever loud - and gingerly clacks the ring against the statue's chin. The first door appears again; the one with swirls and a red eye. "If your arms are tired, let's go visit the..." She narrows her eyes at the cultists, whose excitement is mounting at the mention of this particular room. "... Daddy Temple."
Helpfully, Curi is already at the door, and she pushes it open to reveal a hallway with a dark, swirling portal at the end of it. "Now, don't be alarmed by the portal, blobbies. It's just like any other door, just magical. I've gone through this one as Dioscuri like 100+ times so it's hella safe, probably."
The rainbow girl steps through the gate first, holding the limbs of some of the bloblings in the crowd who seem especially freaked out about the portal. Yume offers the same service to a few roundlings around her, and some more observant blobs might notice Mal glowering at anyone who touches the drippy bun.
On the other side of the portal is a tall, rectangular room. To say it's dark here would be an understatement; the ceiling appears to be dripping with thick, hazy blackness, actively swallowing up the light. The walls are lined with sconces and candles with red flames that burn with a purple core, and the floor has one, long, red carpet that leads to a set of steps. The steps lead to a platform, where a throne sits at the end of the carpet. There's a figure sitting in it, one of humanoid origin, but attempting to get any more details than 'humanoid' from it gives you another one of those pesky headaches. The features on it slide around, every part on it blurry and never quite sharpening, like a camera that never fully comes into focus.
The wall to the left of the throne has a black statue with a slightly metallic sheen to it, reptilian in shape. The wall behind the throne has a cat-like statue with a golden sheen, and the wall to the right has a coppery taur-shaped statue. They have a similar thing going for them, where discerning any details besides their general shape is nigh impossible and potentially painful.
Ornate-looking circles line the shiny black floors, and candles melted down to the bottom of the wick surround them.
Perhaps the most alarming thing about the room, however, is that it can blink. Eyes are smattered along the back wall, spreading up along the wall in a diagonal, fading into the blackness. Each one is completely red and looks rather like the eyes on the cultists' outfits, except without a pupil of any kind.
Yume strolls in, her feet leaving gobs of shadowy tar in her wake that disappear seconds later. "Sooo... Daddy will probably get your gifts if you leave them in here. oyo Just leave them anywhere, really."
It's time for you to leave your gift for Eris - or Yume, if that's what you brought.
