Bloblings have noticed mysterious, gooey bloblings popping up in the world. Many bloblings are weary of them because of their resemblance to the tar from the tar pits, which have been known to eat bloblings for something called 'breakfast'.
01/09/23 Hey there!
It's September now!
We've updated the Art Prompts and Writing Prompts with some new stuff for September, as ever. I can't believe we're getting so close to the end of the year. o-o
It's going to be an Evolution Phase this month! Get prepared for the blobbles of the site to grow up into a new appearance that's all their own. We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your little dudes! The new mods will be opening up art slots to complete your blobs' new artwork. aaaaaa exciting~
The mods will be putting out their reserve slots, some for the very first time! Stay tuned!
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
This is a text-based role play event with some DnD-like elements, such as combat and NPC interactions. Players will be given a tour of the temple beneath the tar, will meet a new NPC, and will get to play a fun game or two while they're at it!
As a heads up, this Tour will be significantly darker than Reinala's. It will include blood, descriptions of gore, spookiness, overall strangeness, smatterings of sexual content, cultists, kind of victim blaming, peeps being mad at each other... I dunno, it'll be a fun romp through a dark place but it's got its dark shit, okay? RIGHT, AND THERE WILL BE SWEARING.
This is your warning; here there be monsters.
I, Ichor, will be making a new post at 8:00 PM every night until the Tour is over. I expect this will take about two weeks, but I've been wrong before. Players will be expected to make a post before 8:00 PM EST the next day, or their character will be assumed to be following along quietly. The only penalty you will receive for missing a day is your blobling not being able to make an action that day, if there is one to be made. However, if you miss more than half of the Tour, your earnings will be cut in half.
Good luck, have fun and stay safe, everyblobby. <3
The stars are shining and the grass is white upon the orb that is Terrea - though said grass grows several entire biomes away from the Tar Pits, which is where a certain gooey bunny is emerging from a puddle of tar, her dark body virtually indistinguishable from the bubbling liquid she's submerged in. Her hands are swiping at the goop in her path in short, frantic strokes, resembling the 'doggy paddling' of the Old World. When she gets to the rim of the pit, she uses her hands to cling to the earth and pulls herself up and out, sitting her bum on the pool's slippery rim. The wet slop drips off of her, but it's hard to tell what is and is not part of her, given that she's a drippy slop girl by default.
She's looking a little glum, and that's because the dreamy Dios wasn't the one who contacted her and asked her to swim to the surface... it was Curi. Yume has been aware that the more male of Ichor's Godborns hasn't been enjoying her company for a while now, but she was enjoying his. The way his voice had a slight, caring gravel to it, the way he had a smell so unlike any of the sulfurous goo she lived under... not to mention, he was a male-leaning blobling who wasn't her Daddy. Not that her Daddy was really a blobling. And he had to pay attention to her, whether he wanted to or not.
So, with the warmth of Dios' skin still on her mind, Yume waits for Curi's arrival.
Meanwhile, Dios is still tending to Reinala's emotional wounds in the White City at this point in the story, but the more female-leaning twin is in the midst of sending a text message to blobkind - as is now p typical.
A message arrives in your text message inbox, a familiar trill sounding in your mind along with it. Heya! Yume is holding her tour of Eris' Temple pretty much now, so grab your butts or whatever's closest and reply to this message with the words ErisFunTimes, typed exactly like that! If you don't add the capitals and stuff it won't work, so get it right! It'd be p hella if you could bring some kind of gift too... like anything at all. I can't even tell you what Eris likes so you're kinda on your own on that one, but you have a bit of time so get something nice! Or icky. Or broken. Or nothing! Maybe a Chaos God would like it if you brought nothing when you were supposed to bring something.
Her rambling appears to end there, leaving the message feeling a tad unfinished. But you have the code now - what do you do, young traveler?

ErisFunTimes hope replies
Hope and Serenity had been walking around terrea when they got the message from reinala. she had wanted to go see the city so much and it would have been an amusing trip with serenity. she had high hopes of finally going on an adventure with her. but alas she wasn't even able to get her reply through. she typed it in over and over but nothing. she hadn't been allowed into the city for what ever reason. she parted with the dream adventure and in stead took lye out to the swamps to train and work on their new riding trick. reading the message she thought of what she could give the god and god born. she did even know what they looked like, she had fish with her for training treats and munches(23 as som have already been eaten). but maybe they would like to see a performance, it was technically a gift and a nothing following and defying the letter. it was then that she had an idea to involve both....

Altum was chilling with Sire like usual, when a text notification pops up in his vision. He never used any of this screen stuff ever since it was first introduced into the world. He didn't even have a profile, how did someone message him? He decided to open it up and see who it was, and it seemed to be Curi, one half of the child of Ichor. "I haven't seen or heard of both Dios and Curi ever since they were created after the Trial." He read the message and had a worrisome thought. 'Am I able to bring Sire? How will I get there?' Altum turned to his buddy at explained the situation. All Sire did was give the thumbs up."I'll attempt to bring you with me, but if not, you'll know where I am."
With the matter of Sire slightly out of the way, he turned to what gift he could bring. Of course he would bring a gift for someone who has made his best friend and housing grounds. "I might carve a small bleeding heart tree as the present." And so he went to work, grabbing a bleeding heart tree branch and whittling it down with his tail. It took him a bit, but he was faster than what he used to do. Eventually a miniature tree sat on the ground in front of him. "That should do it. Sire, grab on to me, I don't know what will happen once I type the code." Once Sire had a firm grip he typed it.
Kip reached a paw towards Evrah, checking his friend and lover off his mental checklist before departing. The snakeblob seemed to be carrying something (perhaps as an offering), and Kip's own gift was tucked safely into his scarf. A diamond-tipped camivian claw, pulled from a bird he had beaten in combat.
"A'ight, ya ready?" He asked, and then sent the confirmation message as soon as Evrah was good to go.
There was practically no hesitation from the minty green pup. Triss figured this would be the perfect opportunity to get to know her new god & his godborn a little better: she was in this for the long haul, so she might as well go all-in, right?
An unseen force seemed to pull at her, and her eyes widened behind her rainbow-tinted glasses. I don't have a gift!!! she panicked, flailing around for anything at all as she was whisked away. Crapcrapcrap...ok, I'll figure something out!

Star crawled through the tangle of Glow Grape vines. She was searching for one of those axolotle things. Her horn got stuck on a particular tangled mess and she had to stop to untangle herself.
By the time she did she noticed that in untangling her horn she had instead tangled up her body with how much wriggling she had done. And now she found herself quite stuck. She pulled the vines one way and then the next. But the only thing she she succeeded in doing was making it worse. She finally lay still. Glow Grape vines all around. It was then that she got the message. Well anything was better then being stuck here.
Well this should be interesting. Though Evrah had gone to Reinala's tour mostly because Kip had shown an interest in her city, a tour of a temple dedicated to Eris was... much more interesting. Doubly so after the ambiguous warning Themis had issued.
A gift though... a glass orb was what he had given to the goddess of order. A glance around his home and growing collection and his eyes caught on another spherical object. His potted cyrill vines. Particularly the small one that only had three orbs and was nestled in a bit of dirt packed into a poff shell. That would do. Tucking the plant into a bit of fabric as a make-shift bag, the black blob nestled the gift in his main before seeing if Kip was ready to go. With the pup's confirmation, he too sent his message.
Kali's core churned once she received the message. On one hand, she realized she already caused quite the kerfuffle in the last tour she attended, but on the other wouldn't that be appreciated in the chaos temple? The fact that she may never have another chance to meet this godborn, the one who was the child of chaos, tempted her greatly. This was such a monumental opportunity, but her uncertainties shook her. She had worries about what may occur inside and she fretted over possibly hurting someone like with what happened before. The more she thought about it the more she seemed to convince herself it would end absolutely terribly. She wished to go but she felt herself stand there filled with indecision. She realized quickly that if she was going to go she would have to just do it and not think too much about what may happen. So she quickly finished up what she was doing in that moment and headed out to grab some sort of gift. Kali wasn't too creative in this sense, she didn't make or give anything too often, but she had an idea and she knew exactly where to get them.
She didn't even have to do any searching at all to find the face she was looking for. Lilac was sitting right at her usual spot staring off into the water as she held the bright purple rod loosely in her hands. Kali's anxieties seemed to vanish at the sight of her long-term friend. Without a sound or a greeting, Kali trotted right next to her and poked her head into the boxes that laid at her side. Kali realized the fisher's pile had grown significantly since the last time she visited. Lilac must have been off in her own world as she never even noticed Kali rummaging through her things. Eventually, Kali revealed the box that had all the squirming Erisfish cramped inside. Softly Kali counted out loud just how many were in there... which took more than a few tries as all the moving limbs made it very difficult. It seemed every time she was getting close to finding 69 though so she settled that number would have to do fine.
Kali wasn't even going to attempt carrying that many without some sort of a container so she silently promised to either return or make a new box for her friend once this tour was over. Before she left she gave Lilac one little pat on the head and lifted the heavy box up in both arms. Then, before she could hesitate and lose her confidence she replied, "ErisFunTimes"
Suki always went a little wonky when her head did the hello-sound. Actually, she went a little wonky every time she used the EB, though that was usually only for a fraction of a fraction of a number. She was sitting at the edge of the Dampwater Darks just now with a fishing pole in-hand. Well, it had been in-hand. The pole dropped and her starry pupil grew wider and wider...
O-ho, what was this now?! Who was this?!
Obviously fun times!
Her eye seemed to re-focus (mostly) and she slipped into the water and disappeared. Jiggy gave a startled sneeze. And watched. And waited.
Suki's arms thrust out of the water. In her fist she held a strand of phosphelp. Her face, vacant once again, appeared out of the murk
"WOOOO!" A hoot of triumph from a young blobling who had absolutely no idea what was going on, with the benefit of constantly being high on hype.
Midnight Sparkle decided to search for the perfect tar pit. The Tar pit needs to be deep with ledges around it to sit on and a ramp on one side so that its easy to get out. Midnight running to the tar pits She was going to find it today! She stopped at the first tar pit she found. It isn't deep enough. So she moved on. The next one she found there were too many ledges. So she ran on. There must be a tar pit that would work. She came upon a tar pit that looked right. But it doesn't have any ledges but it does have a ramp. She runs on believing there is a perfect one somewhere.
All sudden she gets message about Yume's tour. Confused she says ErisFunTimes out loud and disappears.
If you decide you want to have some ErisFunTimes...
Whether or not you have a present for the big man himself, as soon as you send the words off into digital space you're swept off your feet. One moment you're standing on solid earth and the next moment you're what feels like nowhere, being shot through a vast darkness. The message seems to have acted as a catalyst for a teleportation spell, and even if you attended Reinala's Tour, the experience of being essentially slurped through the straw of time and space is no less foreign. It's like car sickness, except you can't tell which direction you're moving in, and therefore which direction you're vomiting in - should that happen at all.
The world begins to make sense again when you're spat out into the uncaring muck of the Tar Pits. You're mere feet away from what looks to be a person-shaped extension of the tar, and two eyes that resemble black holes flit over to meet your gaze. The creature blinks, and then a cacophony of splashes and splatters fills the area as other blobs begin to filter in in the same way you did, popping out of portals and into the dirt. Semi-packaged gifts, some wrapped and some not, go tumbling across the ground, and some are even unlucky enough to have their gifts flop into one of the pools. The tar eats them up, burping as they sink beneath the opaque surface.
Yume begins giggling; slowly at first, but her giggles cascade into hearty, shrieking chortles. Tens of blobs, and then hundreds, all pop out of portals and then skid along the mud, pulling Yume's laughter out of her and to an all time high. Several of them start at the sudden shrill noise that pierces their ears after the nothingness of portal space, their blobby eyes wide as they quiver and try in vain to find something to hide behind.
"Oh noooo," comes Curi's voice as she strides quickly over to Yume, appearing from over the horizon, "it looks like I put the texting portals way too high off the ground. On one hand it's hella fun to watch them bounce, but on the other hand... the poor blobbies~." Worry drenches her tone, and she quickly gets to work on gathering the blobs who have rolled into the pits, gathering up their presents and just generally tidying the area.
You appear to be in the Tar Pits. Yume and Curi are here.

landing with a splat into the mud hope stands up but as she lifts her head her basket of fish falls on top of her forcing her to face plant into the mud. a few fish fell out she picked them up and shook the mud off of them flinging it everywhere. she then promptly dose them same with her own body. she looks over to where there weren't blob masses to find two figures each with their own pull of interest though one more so than the other, a grey goopy rather familiar shaped being... was this yume? did she chooses to look like that? would she like some fish? all important questions all that needed to be asked, hope walked to the front of the crowd toward the figures slipping and sliding with so much control she and lye practically lived in the swamps she was a pro at mud travel. tho as she came to the front she did in fact trip over some blobbys tail spinning around and falling into a stretched out pose on her side with her leg up(paint me like one of ur French gurls style) on top of her now tipped an partly spilled fish basket, she felt she had pulled of the cover up rather smoothly.
Soma perks up at the sign of the message, the chime clear in his head. A shout goes into the back, thrown at the hovering swan who begrudgingly hands him the prepared offering, which appears to be a gift basket of items from all around Terrea: Whatever materials Soma had seen fit to be useful. There's even a sample of Reinala's crystal goop, a small amount of the liquid partitioned out and put in a tiny ampoule for Yume's (hopeful)... fun times! Speaking of which, he should get to drawing that right about now!
ERISFUNTIMES, he scrawls with excitement, and with a soft *blip*, he winks out of existence. The stomach-churning sensation draws a whoop out of him, and instinctively, his knees flare out to catch him. Which turns out to be useful, as they swing out and contact clear air!
The rest of his thrusters kick into gear, and Soma comes rocketing out of the portal, downwards, and then upwards like a pogo stick outta hell. An uncontrolled cartwheel in the air later, he finally stabilizes: and hollers an echoing 'Sorry!' to anyone he'd accidentally knocked into along the way...
As soon as he gets to hovering, he rests the basket on his back, helping up the blobs he'd thrown himself into first, and then helping to drag out the other blobs that are quickly sinking into the pits with Curi. He keeps stealing excited glances at Yume, however... He can't wait to get to talking to her! Unlike Reinala, he has a good deal of less inhibitions towards Yume, because-- well, he can't seem to remember if she did do anything wrong, actually?
Soon! And then he can hand over the basket on his back!
The pup's wings weren't used to flight just yet, and levitation just didn't seem to be happening either. Triss was a blur of flailing green and purple as she fell from the sky, trying *anything* to keep herself from dropping into the pit of tar below. Not reacting fast enough, she held her breath as she splashed into the tar pit, expecting the worst...
...only to find herself swimming back towards the surface without much issue. Right, she thought, I'm chaos now...thanks, Eris?
Triss climbed from her pool of tar and waved off Soma and Curi's help with an enthusiastic 'hello!'. Tar flew from Triss in droplets as she shook out her legs and gel-like wings, then took a moment to smooth out her hair and wipe any remaining tar from her glasses and armor. She tried to make small talk with any blob that was nearby, her voice about an octave higher than usual: both pulling from her internal excitement towards the tour, and in an unconscious effort to speak over Yume's giggling.
"Yeesh, how's that for a wake-up call!" She said with amusement to nobody in particular, moving to help clean off another nearby blob.

Evrah still wasn't a fan of the teleportation process. He at least thought he knew what to expect on the other side by now and had his wings expanded to steady his landing. As the world reformed around him and ground wasn't immediately under foot though, both wings shot out the rest of the way to catch the air and slow his decent. Before the black blob could fully figure out their situation another important detail came to light. As he slowed Kip's paw abruptly slid off of his.
A swift, and maybe a bit more forceful than intended, motion had Evrah's arms out and around the pup before the green blob had a chance to fall far. He pulled Kip tightly against himself as the two glided safely to a non-tar bit of ground while avoiding a few more blobs popping into existence above them. With three paws on solid ground - the last one still wrapped around Kip- he eyed their new location with a slight scrunch to his snout... silently judging. He supposed the location made some sense though and focused back on Kip with an occasional glance at the giggling godborn, asking in a slightly amused tone, "Where you ready?"
