Bloblings from all over Terrea have been hiding out outside of the Bunko Barn, waiting for the next time Rourick says they're open for business. Some of them have set up elaborate huts, so eager for the barn's next event that they've just decided to live there. Oh dear!
01/7/22 Hey there!
It's July now!
We've updated the Writing Prompts and Art Prompts for this month, so go take a look! We can't wait to see what you come up with!
This month is an Evolution Phase, and the thread will be being posted on the 5th! Stay tuned.
The mods and I did some talking and we have decided that it's time for us to focus on the overall site and its functionality first and foremost, rather than running any other story events at this moment. This means that for several months, we'll be putting our energy into updates like a Voucher Guide and a Newbie Landing Page that will benefit the whole site, but may not be as fun in the short-term. We may sprinkle in one or two story updates here and there, pending on some further decision making behind the scenes.
This does not mean that Prompts or Mini Missions will stop, but it *does* mean that I (Ichor) will be unavailable for anything that requires my art for the foreseeable future/as of this post. This means that people who wish for Makers, Insta-Bleeds and Insta-Evos and more should go ask one of the other mods very nicely if they're willing to art those. Players who do so should pay 50 percent of the item's price to the artist and 50 percent to the Terrea PayPal.
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.
Phewf. After some concerns were brought to me, I've gone ahead and changed around the rules again. I apologize for coming to you with another edit so soon after the first, but I want to be transparent about making changes around here.
I've changed the 'one paragraph' rule to be a 100 word rule, and edited it so that you must have 100 words in a post to be able to submit it in the IC Role Play sections. This is for a couple of reasons: - As a role player, it's difficult to respond to posts containing fewer than 100 words. Role playing is a collaborative activity, so you should give your partners something to work with. - To prevent spamming in the role play areas. In essence, all writing on Terrea will eventually lead to my time and effort as an artist, and I don't want that to be earned through spam.
I don't mind the way in which you structure your 100 words (or more) per post. My intent isn't to be restrictive, simply to encourage creativity and play through collaborative writing in this world we're creating together. I don't want people simply putting up with role playing and powering through 10 words at a time just to earn Coins. I want players to participate and have fun in this place.
In the same vein, I've also added a 'no spamming' rule. It's basically just that you should wait for somebody else to respond before posting again, regardless of the section, excluding journal-style role play posts or solo role plays. If nobody has responded in a game in 24 hours, though, you're free to bump it.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this.
