[Creation Event] Creating a thing in the CC&DD. Come halp?

The amount of bloblings packed around her continues to decrease dramatically as they lose interest - the creature has been made, it's animated now and the questions have slowed to a trickle, so what's the point in staying?
"But we hadn't even named it yet..." Ichor's Godborn whispers to herself in a rainy tone.
Still, even if a lot of the blobbles aren't captivated anymore, she is. With just a wave of her hand and a little spark of energy, she's made this... thing, this thing that's moving and looking around and taking in information. And more than just that, it's thinking. It sees a rock in front of it and it avoids it because it knows stepping on it will hurt. It flicks its tongue out to taste the air. It tilts its head in visible confusion because it's just started existing and it doesn't know what the heck anything is yet. Which is a mood, honestly.
When she stares at the long, sleek body of the vegetablecreature, she feels a mixture of many emotions. Trepidation - what if it gets hurt - and pride are among them, but mostly she feels confused. She's created a living thing and she barely even knows how she did it, just that it exists now and is plodding in the direction of the Dampwater Darks.
"Welp, for those of you who are still left, here's what the final deets are. We're gonna call this thing a skitterspud and it's gonna be a shy pack creature that speaks in whistles... low and high ones, but blobs will be able to hear both, because what's the point if they can't? Not being able to hear things is not very hella."
Dioscuri leaves the rest unsaid and raises her hands, imbuing the thing with its new preferences and properties. Then, she looks out at the thinned crowd and smiles a sharp smile. "Kk, thanks for coming out here~! I'm gonna send all of you back now so don't be alarmed when you end up wherever you were before you responded to my text. Byeeeee~!"
Then, with one quick hand movement, all of the blobs piled up in front of her are gone, and she's left with the many-coloured tiles and the skitterspud she just made.
... except, it's not just her and the skitterspud. With the spectators gone, she notices a dark cloud creeping towards her.

Skitterspud
This creature's dex entry can be found in both the Flora section and the Fauna section, as it's a combination of both!
This long, sharp creature is a vegetable/creature hybrid! It's about the size of an Old World husky and its body is long and is tipped with a dense vegetable that tastes lightly vegetal and crunchy, like a mixture between a radish and a cucumber. It also has several nodes in it, which are filled with glowy spuds, which is likely where this creature got its name. When boiled for a long period of time, the spuds lose their glow and yield easily when mushed.
They travel in packs of 5 and tend to listen to the skitterspud with the largest vegetable, proving that bigger is in fact better. Additionally, they communicate both among themselves and to others in whistles; they seem to be unable to produce any other noises. Considering that they're also rather shy creatures, it's rare to hear them whistle and usually blobs can only hear their high-pitched noises when they sit still for long enough and become part of the scenery.
These creatures make more of themselves by removing their vegetable and placing it in the ground, at which point a new skitterspud will grow... however, it takes a while for their vegetable tail to return to its former size, so the skitterspuds who do this often lose their position in the pack until it returns to its former glory.
They eat the white grass in the Colourwave Coast and Dampwater Darks, so they don't tend to appear in any of the other biomes unless there's something wrong, such as one of their pack mates going missing.
Last but not least, these noodly bois have glowy spiked collars around their tail and neck and, when removed, these spikes become moldable for about a quarter of a Number before solidifying into a slightly glowy, whitish blue glass-and-metal-cross with surprising staying power.
