IC News
Bloblings have begun hanging out in groups all around Terrea! They're calling them 'blobling initiatives', which sounds weirdly formal, but they're still a highly curious occurence... maybe you should check them out?
Our Discord server is invite only. Please DM Ichor or Saerfall after you've submitted your blobling claim form, and we'll send you an invite link. We spend most of our time on our Discord, so if it seems quiet here, we're probably all sequestered away in our server.

Corvid was walking down a pathway he had found that ran through the mountains, gently humming to himself. Where would this lead? He didn’t know, and that was the joy of walking. Plumage was by his side, walking with him and giving him calming feelings. He smiled at Plumage, and gave them a soft pat with his wing. They had gotten especially close recently, after everything that had happened. Plumage helped keep him calm, and it felt like it was helping a bit. The sound of crunching snow made him stop dead in his tracks. A blobling was rolling up to him, and he noticed how bad it looked. Had they gone feral? He was feral once, so he could emphasize with them, at least. He raised his voice and shouted, “Hello! May I ask if you are okay?”

The feral turned to Corvid, and stared at him with terrified eyes. Corvid started to slowly approach them, and Plumage bit down on his tail feathers. He turned around, and whispered to Plumage, “It’ll be okay. I can just talk to them.” Plumage hesitantly let go, and Corvid walked up to the feral and knelt over him. “Can you talk?” “Vermin…” “Uh, what?” Corvid’s eyes darkened a bit. Did Vermin do something to this poor blob? He had only heard a bit about this Vermin blob, but he sounded terrible. “Vermin…” “Do you need help escaping from him or something? I can help-” The feral clamped its jaws on his leg, and Corvid let out a scream and kicked it away ‘softly’. As in, he tried to do that softly, but he ended up kicking it off the mountain. He sat down and panicked for a while, not even registering that he accidentally just popped a blob.

Plumage fluttered up to him, with an ‘I told you so’ look on their face. They were still sending calming feelings, though, in an attempt to help Corvid not get any worse. After what felt like forever, he felt ready to go home and rest. He was so tired after that. He got up and started flying back home, with Plumage not far behind. After a while, he finally had made it home. He landed in his nest and curled up into a ball. He heard Cyano get up from her nest and walk over to him. “Dad?” she softly said. “Hey, sweetheart,” he responded, too tired to really say anything else. Cyano stayed silent, and instead lifted up one of his wings. She snuggled up really close to him, and put his wing around her. Corvid gave her a bit of a half-smile, and tightened his wing around her. It was amazing how she knew what he needed, when he needed it. He had an amazing daughter, and that was all he would ever need. Cyano softly hummed to him, and Corvid slowly drifted to sleep.
