The Rainbow Godborn looks around at the newly still sands and the many glittering specks she's standing on, the four snakes hanging from her head joining her in observing the area. The world she's now in is bathed in a colour she can't yet name.
She can feel information flooding into her mind - or, perhaps, simply resurfacing. It pools to the top like oil on water.
"I am... you are...?"
The giant woman before her is sweating. She swipes a bead of wetness from her brow and spends a few moments concentrating on watching the space where the portal used to be, as if she doesn't trust its absence. But after a few more grains of sand trickle through the hourglass, she seems sated.
The rainbow lady swirls around to face the new youngling she's made. Her face warms considerably and for a moment the Godborn can feel her chest swell, an intense feeling of being wanted and welcomed enveloping her. Having been created by this woman gives her some knowledge of her abilities, so she can tell that this forced swelling is not her own emotion already - it's something being pushed upon her, something this massive being is trying to make her feel with some kind of spell or magic. It is relatively unobtrusive and it's something she innately wishes to give in to, for this woman is probably her Creator and she wants intensely to be cared for, but the feeling's artificial nature gives her pause.
"If you want me to feel welcomed, maybe you should just welcome me."
The woman's cheek frills twitch, but her smile deepens. "You catch on quickly, young one. Welcome to the world. I'm sorry for manipulating your emotions so early on in our interactions... usually, I am very strict with such an ability; I am a Life Goddess, so the wills of the life I create are important to me. But I require something of you, newling. You have been created for a purpose, Dioscuri, and it was not just to seal that portal with me."
Dioscuri. The sensation of being Named is like goosebumps cascading down her skin. "Well, I'm ready to help, I think! Emotional tinkering or not. I just got born, so... I probably have some free time." She flashes a cheeky, fanged smile.
"Well, allow me to explain some things to you before I simply assign you to a task. I am Ichor, your Creator, and this place is Terrea - it is a planet of my own creation that I am working on with the bloblings, which are the species that calls this planet home. I made them as well, and you are... well. I have taken a section of me and placed it within you, and mixed it with the genetics of one of my very favourite bloblings. You are half blobling and half Goddess: I call those Godborns."
Yume and Reinala are still around and they're sort of passively listening off to the side, but Eris has apparently found more interesting things to do, because he's nowhere to be seen now - nor are the snekkitborns or their parent. The two Godborns are both watching with mild interest, neither one too sure how much attention they should be paying to this exchange. Both of them have received this Beginning of Life talk from their respective God or Goddess, but theirs were done privately, without any unwelcome ears.
"You will experience a strange feeling of having fragments of my memories and impressions, but no memories or experiences of your own. I believe that, in time, you will be able to separate the two as you make your own way through the world. Do not be alarmed by what you see - none of it can hurt you now. It's in the past."
Dioscuri's mouth is laying slack as she takes in all the new information, nodding her head in response. A question forms on her lips and bubbles out before she can think to stop it. "Who... is Hana?"
Ichor's eyebrow area raises and her eyes shimmer. She looks taken aback by the question. "I... buh... well, of course you would be asking such a thing. I think about her often, even now, even though it has been... so long. Hana is somebody I will speak to you about later, young one. For now, we should get to what it is I need from you. You have been created, in part, to accompany the other two Godborns."
Dioscuri looks around and is surprised to see that there is a whole lot of world behind her, too. Wow! The world continues beyond what she can even see, probably, and that is impressive and terrifying all at once. This is decidedly overwhelming. Becoming a whole person one day and learning so many things about the world at large all at once is tremendously overwhelming.
"You just want me to keep them company?"
"Yes. And to make sure they do not use their powers to repeat the actions that placed them in this predicament in the first place. They need to learn to use their powers responsibly - they are like big dogs with no idea how to control their giant bodies. Without some restraint, they're going to end up trampling people or making them bleed. Oh, I suppose you may not remember what a dog is. What I mean is... please accompany the other two Godborns and make sure that they do not commit atrocities with their powers. No making people do things they don't want to do, no opening portals to other dimensions, no using portals to get to places instead of the legs we have been gifted with, and most of all... no killing."
Dioscuri grins another needly grin. "But you love killing."
"I do not love killing, Dioscuri. I love Death. But we'll talk about that later, too... for now, do you understand what I am saying to you?"
"Hella. But how is one being like me supposed to be with two others all the time? Especially when they're trying to do stuff like trample people and make them do weird things without permission."
Ichor gives an unreadable smile and reaches her stark white hand out to Dioscuri. The Rainbow Godborn studies it closely, and then reaches out cautiously, unsure if this is what the woman wants her to be doing.
When their fingers touch, Ichor's hand closes around hers and she starts to lead the small one into a spin. "Uhhh... uhhhhh!?" The new bipedal being has trouble using her legs to do any complex actions and almost falls over a few times, but it's as if Ichor is also holding her up, not allowing her to sway. After five spins, she starts feeling weird. After ten, she feels downright nauseous, and after fifteen an unbearable feeling of complete separation overwhelms her. "What are you doing!?" She feels like she can hear her voice come out twice, she's so dizzy now.
The Goddess' hand releases her and she topples into the sand, her hair snakes mashing into the ground with great force from the momentum.
"Do not worry, young one. You are not simply Dioscuri... but Dios, and Curi. Why not take a look at yourselves?"

Curi sits up and so does Dios, and the two of them realize all at once that the feeling of queasiness wasn't just motion sickness, but an actual literal division of their cells. The two of them stare at each other for a long while, dumbfounded.
Curi is the more slight of the two, with two large, flappy wings to call her own. She's just been made, but already she seems to carry herself with an air of chipper confidence.
Dios is a tad bulkier than his twin, which is also... himself... and his wings are smaller. Both of them have butt skirts, much like Ichor herself, but his is entirely blue, and Curi's is red.
Yume snickers in the distance, nudging Reinala with her elbow. "I call that one." She gestures to Dios with one of her gooey hands.
"I was not under the impression that we got to choose," Reinala delivers flatly.
